I was in middle school when Tamagotchi came out. I never actually owned one until about a year ago. I think I went through three life cycles. The battery died a while back. As a kid I had like a knock off one I remember playing with in summer camp.

People are even using sony MD disks & recorders but those disks are hard as fuck to come by now since they were only popular in asia are for wtv reason western companies refused to stock em due to ease of copying data and the size of the disks. MD players were based as fuck re-writeable "floppy" discs that could hold up to like 300mb-1gb double sided later on in its life. Music and storing computer files I'd use mine to share music&emulators/roms till like 2003/4
