Why are there so many space games but so few ocean games? Space is great in theory, but it's so absurdly massive that the chances of encountering anything fun or interesting are really low. That's why games like Elite Dangerous, No Man's Sky or Starfield are 90% disguised loading screens, 9% inert rocks and 1% fun. The only space game filled with stuff to do and explore is Outer Wilds and its entire solar system must be smaller than Skyrim's map. The ocean gives the same feeling of freedom and adventure but its size is much better suited for a videogame.
I want more games about boats, dammit.
