At which point you can’t really complain about the difficulty because you’re abusing an optional item that exists solely to make the game easier for people who need that. It’s like complaining that easy mode is too easy.

Pretty much every boss is hard coded to use certain moves at certain points, most notably when they “gather magatsuhi” they’re almost always scripted to use a specific move the next turn. Notice how that’s when the OP webm stops to use the dampener?

Metatron for example can either use Mahamabrion, Megidoloan or Fires of Sinai on his Magatsuhi charge. Almost every other boss past early game has an alternative they might use, or they might even just use Phys or normal attack spam which require the rarer Phys Dampeners.
