If you're wondering about having to know about previous entries. No you dont its a seperate story x amount of years in the future that does not require any previous knowledge.

The first game actually did make it to the US via the eshop.

Series is great, though I'm not sure about the new system in VR.

The games used to be an RPG with soccer elements, now they feel more like a soccer game with RPG elements.
Maybe when the game fully releases I'll change my mind.
