>>683862257I am interested in it as it looks like Bloodstained but much more complex from the footage I saw.By the way it is interesting that this is rated E10+ by the ESRB even though this game has quite ecchi outfits/costumes and "physics". Even more, this is available on PlayStation (with a trailer on their YouTube page to boot, which is how I discovered it) and not on Switch. Funny enough for these kinds of games it's usually the other way around, haha.
>>683867291Its got a pretty big map. On par with a full fledged metroidvania with all the movement ability backtracking you expect. Granted a lot of the environments look samey.The combat is pretty decent. It's basically Bloodstained except instead of 1 character that can do it all, you get 3 swappable characters with their own weapon types and they can use 2 at a time. This mean you get 3 different HP/MP bars to work with which creates an interesting dynamic. You can actually summon them when not in use and they act as an autonomous NPC which I thought was cool, but can get themselves killed as well. Instead of in Bloodstained where you can gain monster abilities that work as spells, here they are all passive effects you can put on your gear. There are things called 'artifacts' that basically work the same as Bloodstained monster abilities.Everything else is pretty run of the mill generic anime shit. Not actively bad but you're playing for the first two things.
Might give it a pirate once I'm done with Kunitsu-Gami.
>>683862257I pirated the EA version. It's ok. I liked using my weapon attack/skills to get to out of reach areas. Each character has several weapons and you can equip two to your 2 attack buttons like Order of Ecclesia. Each weapon type also has weapon skills done with direction + attack. You can string these together for some nice combos. You can freely switch between 3 characters. It's kinda fun for a Metroidvania beat em up.
