Only Isaac is interesting to replay because of the really fun, different and sick combination of items and attacks you can get. In rl2 you get for example a character that does no dmg, or 90% of your screen is black, or you can't attack for 2 seconds after being hit. They made the opposite of they should made. It's antifun. The best run you can have is being "normal".

Hell, it looks like Three Houses gives you the choice of casual/classic mode (permadeath in classic mode only) which is separate from the difficulty, so you can just play it without worrying about that mage being permanently dead.

Been playing through Kunitsu-Gami:Path Of The Goddess NG+ past few days, great game, good mix of light strategy/tower defence and action, where one element doesn't overpower the other, and there's good tension constantly, especially trying to do challenges on NG+.
