I wish modding in this game was built from the ground up with a mod loader system in mind, like the Elder Scrolls games where its very easy to add, remove or just deactivate installed content. There's a lot of people doing cool shit but it's most just their own projects in their own bubbles as opposed to having modular stuff like a quest pack that adds 100 quests to the base game or retroporting newer classes to older versions of the game etc.

>>686676557It's just that MMOs are a flawed genre, they all cruised on novelty from back in 2007 where being able to play with so many other people in a 3d non instanced environment was something never seen before. which is why no one has been able to compete with WoW ever since its inception with only smaller titles coming and going. the only one that has come close is ffxiv.unironically MMOs are just doomed, insane investment cost to develope and the formula is just flawed where the only endgame they can think of is time gated raids/dungeons and then you got casual cheevo grinding but then you are competing vs WoW with its established fanbase and decades of content which means it's over before it even starts.Only upcoming MMO that has any chance of not dying on arrival is Riot's MMO because they said they want to innovate on the formula and it has the riotdrone fanbase behind it, but that shit is not going to come out for another 5-10 years.
