Mediocre slop designed to waste your time and keep your occupied while you spend more money in the gift shop. Designed by spreadsheets, committee, marketing parasites, and a team of progressive 'world changers'. The game died in 2010, and Blizzard has just been raping the long-desiccated corpse while a bunch of trauma victims and dopamine burnouts suck at its withered tit.

actually it died in 2012
cata was still bearable despite being a b-team expansion

Cata was a paradox. It was the expansion that was supposed to prop the game up for years to come. Instead, it introduced many of the things that killed the game, and their mentality going forward was to focus on growth, instead of health. It was when WoW's actual nature of a game was abandoned.

This isn't even including the absolute retarded idea that was the guild perk system that nuked half of the game's guilds in a matter of a few weeks.

A lot of the serious issues/systems were actually added to the game mid wrath, but people completely gloss over that fact and say the downfall began with cata.

that's simply because everything else about Wrath was so peak WoW that it covered it up until the cancer had spread too far
