14 years ago I longingly looked at this game but could never play it because my parents wouldn't allow me to buy itCompletely forgot about and finally bought it since it released on PC. Played for a few hours and realized it is just a solid 7/10 nothing special game.
mrw bloodborne comes out
You had to be there, though. Playing that game while being a kid watching that generation unfold through your eyes still makes me smile, as a memory. And I'm not even that much of a fan for that gen. To me the PSX and a bit of the PS2 were actually the remarkable ones
>>693344209You mean devolve? That generation started better than it ended.
Two gay cowboys eating pudding
>>693343998I gave up on this bout mid-game. GTA IV was the start of character movement being too slow and delayed, but at least the city was impressive, and the story more interesting/unique than rdr. These games are actually painful to play, theyre like anti-gaming. GTA5 and RDR2 are of course, unbearable.
>>693343998In 2010, open-worlds hadn't been done to death yet. This was before Skyrim, and before Ubisoft fully developed their standardized open-world formula. It was still cool to see such a huge open-world in a AAA-quality game with half-decent writing.
>>693347580The fourth AC (Brotherhood) got released in that year, though
>>693346702I liked RDR1 cause you could hold X to sprint unlike in GTA4/5 where you have to tap it like an animal.
>>693343998BASED RDR 2 Carried this game
>>693348835you still have to tap it on a horse tho
>>693348961No you don't :\
>>693348002Brotherhood was a good game, one of the best in it's series, open worlds didn't get really bad until they became like open world padding added into a single player to prolong play time artificially rather than a way to immerse the player in a world or a sandbox experience.
>>693348961Just change it in the settings.
>>693349170*like MMO padding added into a single player game
>>693349196can't change it on a controller>>693349098yes you do, did we play the same fucking game?
>>693343998You had to be there.Today, your vidya standards are based on the games you've played since 2010.Only great games stand the test of time (mostly because vidya devs can't replicate or improve upon the formula) like Alpha Centauri
>>693343998I dunno, I played for the first time some while after the PS4 had come out and I still felt a weightiness in my chest during the ride where Compass plays.
>>693349319>can't change it on a controllerFuck. We definitely need a mod for that. For now, try to use that cheat code for infinite stamina.
>>693346702>GTA IV was the start of character movement being too slow and delayedI bet that you love every JRPG and those fucking pieces of shit souls games where the characters have zero weight and just jumps and slashes. Fuck you you dumb fuck.
>>693349319Nobody uses that feature cause then you get kicked off your horse.
>>693350031Are you actually retarded?
>NOW I KNOWWWWW, THE ONLY COMPASS THAT I NEEEED, IS THE OOOOONE, THAT LEADS BACK TO YOUUUUUU
>>693343998>$50 for a port of a 14 year old game
>>693346702>endless copy pasted apartment bloxks>small, tight roads filled with traffic >shitty handlingNah, travelling around in GTAIV fucking sucked, fuck off zoomerAlso Red Dead's mission variety is miles better than GTA IV's
>>693349319Stopped playing the game when I got to this point years ago. I found myself looking more at the stamina gauge than the environment and it really turned me off.
>>693348961Its also like once every 2 seconds. It's possible to achieve basically top speed and not lose any stamina at all with proper pacing. If you're tapping like an animal and actually depleting your stamina, you're doing it to yourself desu
GTA4 is the last R* game where the writing had some bite to it. RDR has no edge. GTAV has no edge. Only edge RDR2 has is the one Arthur cuts off his balls with.
keep sleeping to make it day time then the mission starts at night I just want some comfy day time cowboy shit please
