I looked up into song sources from this years musical and found that the SH2 song was based on this game's soundtrack.https://youtu.be/PuEpJ89qt8A?si=jYrw8jHkpW2WGj-2Is it a worthwhile game to check out or is the soundtrack all there is to it?
>>693348725its free 2 play my nigga
I barely remember playing it but I got scared off by its microtransactions. I forget exactly why they were bad but they are bad, heed my warning.
pretty fun gamehorrendously ruined by incredibly bad mtx
I'll never get a chance to post this song againhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xMKaaY6PnAI never """beat""" it. I always wonder if I should go back.
>>693348725>is it a worthwhile gameHell no. You'll wish you got your hours back after a certain point.
>>693348725Great game but i got filtered by the circus level difficulty spike. It doesn't get "harder" but enemies all end up taking so much damage and dealing so much out of nowhere that it becomes a constant grind to get new armor and weapons that will all break before you even get to the next floor.
i really wish it was just a one time fee game not balanced around shoving more dollarydoos to progress without wanting to kill yourself at the grind. because it is fun otherwise.
>>693348725It is not worth playing in the state it's in. The game was objectively better before the mushroom rebalance that heavily shifted the game in the favor of grinding and farming instead of clever use of Brainshrooms, Cloakshrooms, Stingshrooms, Guardshrooms, Funshrooms, etc. They did fix some of the grinding issues but then exacerbated them elsewhere and made it more frustrating to progress than it was even at launch. The game is solid up until you reach floor 21+ (The circus) with JIN-DIE being the only real egregious thing up until that point. Once you reach that point you are forced to grind for something, most people opting for the iron upgrade because it's easily one of the best weapons in the game. This plus some minor weapon and armor upgrades and a handful of Premium Decals (Permanent ones) will get you to the 30s (The destroyed city) where you will immediately be hit with grind galore. It doesn't matter what you did prior to this, now you are forced to grind to level an entire armor set and multiple weapons two or three tiers (I forgot which) which takes dozens of hours just to survive that entire stretch of floors, not even clear them. Then you actually reach the boss and you will be even more annoyed because you can't Guardshroom stack anymore and have to learn his ridiculous patterns that two shot you forcing you to make the trek back there again.Ignoring that, PVP is impossible for new players as everyone has event weapons that one-shot you or setups with characters who have event-limited decals and armor that make them borderline unkillable, and you can't log off with any money or they will raid you, take all of it, and potentially steal a character too.It should have been a standalone game. Every once in a while I try to go back to it and I just can't. It's got so many issues and the mushroom nerfs alone ruined the game for me.
>>693350083Yep the game was really fun on 1.0 launch. One of the best parts was coming together as a community to figure out where materials dropped and enemies spawned. The game feels like a fever dream looking back on it. Glad I beat the final boss before they patched the game and ruined it.
