Nope, not getting out of this chair.
did the ds2 remake get canceled?

>>694530718The fuck do Necromorph moons do after they eat everything that there is to eat? Go to sleep for a billion years and hope that life just jumpstarts again?
>>694530881God I hope. I liked Dead Space but wasn't a huge fan (has some gameplay clunkiness and pacing/tedium issues), but Dead Space 2 is one of my favourite games of all time and I do NOT want to see them shit on it.
>>694533720Its litterally this. Brethren moons have a secret 4chan board they shitpost on. They want more moons so they can call them faggots.

>>694533720They seed new life, go dormant, then awaken when it's matured to devour it. Sentient life is a moon's crops. The necromorphs are the pesticides that Isaac can only fend off for so long before he's being chopped and boiled in a delicious noodle soup.
Nopenot getting out of this chair
>>694536683There it is.
>>694530881I'm actually hoping they just skip the DS2 remake and go straight to remaking DS3while the first Dead Space had some wonky aspects (i.e. the flamethrower being almost nonviable compared to everything else, ripper blades having a bugged spawn rate), Dead Space 2 is pretty much just rock-solid and perfectly polished from start to finish; at least in my experience. the singular bad thing I can say about it is that the gritty, industrial style of the first one was more interesting compared to second's cleaner direction, but that's just subjective.Dead Space 3, however, is the ne plus ultra of wasted fucking potential. the dilapidated military bases on a snowy planet, the 200-year-old mummified SCAF necromorphs, and the custom weapon building are all fantastic. you just know Visceral had some great ideas, but EA's exec meddling is apparent throughout the entire thing like a dark brown shitstain on a pair of otherwise pristine underwear, and you can tell even from minor things like Lurkers being dogs now and Pack being absent that EA had a much tighter leash on the devs than in the first two games (hold up there, bucko, you don't want to stir media controversy by killing zombie kids now!). hell, according to an article I read, the first Dead Space was intended by EA to have co-op but Volition managed to convince them that it was a retarded thing to implement in a tense horror game and they didn't have the time to do it anyway, but by 3 EA slammed their fist down and said "NO, NIGGA, YOU'RE DOING IT THIS TIME 'CAUSE MARKET RESEARCH SAYS THAT SHIT GOOD". just a shame. however, current EA seems to be much less stringent than 2013~ EA and they gave Motive a lot of freedom in developing the remake, and worst-case-scenario a DS3 remake would be at the very least independent of Origin.
>WHAT'S YOUR OFFER?

>>694535791So they're reapers but even bigger assholes about it.
