This is the same as what happened with Castlevania and MGS and Silent Hill they'll kill YGO internally for being something that requires work to create. It will be loaned out to fresh grads and fanboy contractors to make anything at all. I think it's a game with no future that's become irreparable in its design. Even Blizzard would try to make changes over single digit % stats for Hearthstone. Konami want to stop managing YGO altogether.

Actually now that I think about it, say you have a monster that's unaffected by other card effects. Cards like kaiju and lava golem can still tribute that monster off, because the tribute is a cost and not an effect. But if that monster was against Lair of Darkness, can it still be tributed for trap cards? Would it be unaffected by Lair's effect to let you tribute opponent monsters? Or does the game count that as a player action and not a card action like Evenly or something?

Is running Majestic Dragon soulful?
The event experience is so awful that I kind of hate my until-now favourite deck and I don't want to ever play it again. The one time traptrix is actually playable (it uses xyz and link monsters, and most events are limited to just one ED type) and grinding medals with them was the worst experience ever. I would much rather go back to duel triangle where I was trying to figure out how ancient gear loaner works and I was constantly getting raped by Centurion and Tenpai. At least I got to fucking play the game back then. As it stands I feel like dismantling the whole deck and using it to craft 1 of each kashtira UR main deck monster or something that's actually useful.

I spent 13k gems trying to pull for melodious but I couldn't get all the cards I need. Now that its come to this, is it even worth trying to continue to make the deck? I've invested so much into it already, so I don't want to spend any more gems on it. Which means I'd have to craft the missing cards. Crafting 2 URs is half of my available UR CP though, so I'm not sure I want to commit especially when fiendsmith just replaces melodious anyway. If I dismantled it instead, I would be looking at 90 more UR CP and 70 more SR CP. Is Melodious worth spending UR CP on? Since fiendsmith comes out soon I'm not sure if this is a worthwhile investment.

There's very little room for skill or creative expression. If I choose a bad deck in Yugioh it will be because it does something cool. If I choose to play a Brock deck then I'm gonna uh, summon a guy who does damage. But he looks different than the opponent's guy who does damage.
