The Holy Light is just a primal force, its not something that's morally "good" and beings of the light like the Naaru can easily become evil in their use of it without balance. Tauren can wiled the light through worship of the sun. Goblins are able to wield the light through sheer willpower through their extreme greed. Even Undead priests can wield holy light even though channeling it is painful for them. Theres a lot of examples. Of course they stopped bothering to even try to give explanations now so theres no tangible reason that mechagnomes, nightborne, or vulpera can use it, they jsut can so they playerbase doesnt whine about it.

For example Tauren paladins are not the same as the Silver Hand human paladins, they've got their own organization and traditions separate from them. Likewise, a night elf priest does not worship the Light, but is part of an entirely different organization dedicated to Elune.
