>ruins your game
If anything has been ruined it was ruined by Toady himself being too autistic and having to rely on some canadian trannies to do shit that a normal person could have handledAt least now we have Putnam (the only tranny that actually contributed something to the greater society of Earth) hard-carrying DF technical aspects on xer back
The game was ruined long ago by its own developer with the introduction of cave layer fps death and necromancy.
I'm tired of ugly people trying to hide behind beautiful foxes.
ive genuinely given up on thinking adventure mode will ever be properly designed
for me it was the permanent ruination of the control scheme and ui that was stated to never be getting an option to roll back. the shitty new ost was just the cherry on top
>>695195090foxes should exclusively be used by the cute and sexyso why are you posting one
The game has been dead ever since they embraced BLM
>>695195360if you scroll through the steam update notes you'll wonder if white people are even in the game
>>695195156The fact that fortress mode is separate from adventure mode to begin with is poor design. There should not be any invisible hand city builder bullshit in this type of game.
>>695195684"dwarf fortress shouldnt be about making a fortress for your dwarves" what
>>695195352My love of foxes is conceptually, spiritually cute enough to grandfather me in
>>695195729I'm not saying that. I'm saying you should be an actual in-game character telling your dwarfs to build a fortress instead of being an invisible hand. Adventure mode has barebones [b]uilding where you can make your companions/undead slaves build wooden shacks.
>>695194103I had a five (real) year dwarf fortress campaign where I had an adventurer become a world-famous legendary hero and master poet and musician in every style and change the age of the world. Retired him at a castle and watched him wage and win war with multiple goblin civs alone. Built "evil" fortresses just so he could raid them and slay demons (he has like 200 demon kills). I liked watching him act independently according to his personality and wrote a bunch of fanfics and pseudo-epics about him. When learning how to play fortress mode I had him around my developing forts as a bodyguard before I knew how to work a militia. When he started getting old I was considering making him undead but felt bad so I made a prosperous fort in a peaceful area next to his hometown and built him a big snazzy house with a shrine and workshop and gym so he could fish and eat/drink exotic food and wine all day. Died at 89. He was a humble and outdoorsy fellow so I gave him a little aboveground marble tomb under some trees. Getting a little teary reading this. He was my dude man...I've tried picking up df again with mods but I can never play for longer than a few days. I think I saw all that could be done in df over the course of my man's life and it's just boring now. Never had an adventure like that in any other game.RIP Cocou
>>695194103Does any anon have that gif of picrelated poking the kitfox logo in the butt?
BEYOND QUALITY
>>695195582i genuinely fucking despise the in-built tileset. ASCII looks infinitely better(but its almost unplayable with the forced new ui because of forced mouse controls)
