>Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 launched Tuesday on Windows PC and Xbox Series X, but it hasn’t been a smooth ride. Actually, it’s been anything but: Long loading times and missing content have earned developer Asobo Games’ latest launch an overwhelmingly negative rating on Steam. Some players are stuck on loading screens for hours, according to reports, and when they get in, certain planes are missing. Microsoft and Asobo addressed the problematic launch in a blog post and a video message to players, saying its servers were completely overwhelmed by the amount of players logging in at once. How come these massive companies burn hundreds of millions of dollars to development without a worry but always cheap out when it comes to online infrastructure required to play their games? https://archive.is/wip/oTMG2https://www.polygon.com/gaming/481864/microsoft-flight-simulator-2024-bugs-loading-times-negative-steam
just wait for GTA 6 online, I bet it won't work right for a month or two
From a Steam review>No pre-loading of game files before launch>No actual pre-order benefits>Files downloaded through in-game interface>This time around in-game install interface does not support mouse control, presumably because it was designed to be 'cross-platform>Saturated servers cause endless download times for a miserable 50GB>Downloading time counting as 'game time' prevents customers from requesting refunds.>Same issues were present 4 yrs ago, they simply did not learn.
>>695195285>no mention of gameplaysteam ladies and gents
>>695195347Nobody can get into the actual game dumdum
>>695195285cloud fad has to stop
>>695195172>Two major Xbox releases in two days>Both are horribly brokenAny other publisher and this place would be going fucking nuclear
>>695195172you get what you fucking deserve if you buy yearly games like a retard. NO REFUNDS. Microsoft should be allowed to go to the addresses of any purchaser and whack them in the head with a hammer, too, also, it's what they deserve.I just cannot imagine a hammer to the head making you any dumber if you bought this game. What is the thought process of the person who buys the latest edition of something they already have? Flight sim 2023 wasn't good enough, the world of airplanes changed entirely in the last year and it's already out of date.I'm proud of microsoft for making these fools suffer.
>>695196052Shitting on them is meaningless cause everyone wants their games, the only ones you would see doing so are hardcore xbox gamers
>>695196067>yearly gamesThe previous version came out 4 years ago.>the world of airplanes changed entirely in the last year and it's already out of dateCan you give some examples?
It's basically Pokemon. A shit series with a rabid, dedicated fanbase but without the Nintendo free pass. They bought it because of course they're gonna buy it and now they're mad they got fed the same slop. And it won't matter, next year Microsoft will sell them another bowl of slop for 100$ and they'll lap it up and start crying again while gorging on it.
>>695196426Yeah man, I can. You dumb woman. You remind me of flight attendants. The 2023 flight attendants had a glitch where they were unpleasant individuals and would reject sexual overtures. 2024 flight attendants are much more accommodating and you can get sex from them without having to save the plane and land it yourself in an emergency when the pilots are incapacitated simultaneously. They'll even do it if you cannot land the plane, because of the "not wanting to die a virgin" clause. You don't know anything about planes.
>>695195172There shouldn't even be "online infrastructure" for a game that involves...flying some planes around.
>>695196952It's kinda necessary for the big selling point of flying anywhere on Earth with streamed map data. The full size of the data is several petabytes.
This is how the game looks like if you actually even get in.
>>695197070That sounds ridiculous. No wonder why there's problems. Enjoy the "gameplay" I guess (see image).
