Shady Knight, I Am Your Beast and Diatomic have kind of filled the void games like Cloudbuilt, Cyberhook and Neon White have. I just wish they were longer and even though I enjoyed it plenty, I've come to fundamentally disagree with how Shady Knight is made(more into score chasing via combos and ranks instead of asking you to stylishly kill enemies quickly while going fast in a level)Puzzle games I've come to like Islands of Sea and Sky, CATO, and this>>695218164 ( I wanna lockpick).It's a pretty simple group of games that are kind of flash game tier but I truly enjoyed Cat Quest 3, Steamworld Heist 2 and Toy Tactics. I know BG3 came out last year, but I picked it up in January and spent way too much time with it. I started Unicorn Overlord and was super excited to play through it because I also really enjoyed Ogre Battle, but I just fell off. P3 Reload was a title I started and completed this year.

I finally finished this. Sort of. There was extra stuff after the credits where you could time travel but i was kinda over the game by then. I had fun tho. Cant wait for dq 12.

The game would have been vastly improved without any of that shallow, shitty coding.The game was considerably more fun and interesting at the start when your options and tactics were limited. As the game goes on, the game does not get more complex, it just adds a bunch of new unit types and equipment with skills to destract you from the fact that the gameplay is as shallow as a puddle. UO is definitely massively overrated. Adding a bunch of attractive characters is all you need to do to win /v/ over.

UO is my personal GOTY, but as far as games from this year Stellar Blade is a very close second. I've beaten/played a lot of good older games this year as well - Dave The Diver, Ender Lillies, The Long Dark, Grandia, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Teardown
