>I'm forgotten
>>
>still no characters from jank fillers
I just want Rebecca and Raphael for fuck's sake.
>>
>>696960318
What decks should they play?
>>
>>696959867
I liked DL more than MD. There I said it.
>>
>>696960936
But Why?
>>
>>696959867
I really hope master duel dies off so we can get some single player yugioh again.
>>
>>696960417
Raphael obviously gets Guardian support. Eatosfags will be eating good. Rebecca could do some bootleg Blue-Eyes like her grandpa, or some general dragon strategy.
>>
>>696961474
Duels are much more simpler and shorter. Anime characters. More to do besides PVP. More single player stuff period. Yeah the grind suck ass and the gem rate is shit in DL but somehow MD bores the shit out of me. When I'm dueling on my phone I just want a quick match. PVP in MD is so slow/ Its either fucking niggers spending 10 minutes constantly special summoning if you do have a card to prevent this, in an endless cycle of special summoning or taking their sweet time making a move. MD made me hate PVP.
>>
>>696961897
I thought Rebecca played Stromberg
>>
>>696959867
I liked this game but it became so p2w at one point I just quit. Last time I played was when aliens were meta. I played a sacred phoenix/fireking deck before that and it was fun (when gladiator beasts were meta and got countered pretty hard by this).

I enjoy how it's trying to fix Arc-V's awful ending with each new event.
>>
>>696962958
try out edison. The duels are longer but it's not 10 minute turns like modern yugioh.
>>
>>696963813
No, that was definitely the antagonist for that tournament arc. Something about using the one-of-a-kind Castle card to infect Kaiba Corp with a virus because he was butthurt Kaiba was so successful.
>>
>>696964257
Edison and HAT are the only formats I recommend anyone play nowadays. It's insane Konami has seen such a massive groundswell of past format support whenever they hold Edison events but have never considered that they could make the game better by taking the gameplay people love from that format and trying to make it a real standard format. Everyone I know who plays modern has said they enjoyed playing Edison more but can't really commit to it since it's a time locked format.
>>
>>696964579
I like goat a lot too since that's the slow yugioh I grew up with. Casual goat with decks like blue eyes or dark magician is also pretty close to the playground yugioh boomers remember.
>>
>>696964793
I think Yugioh as a game really didn't come into its own until late GX but Goat is fine for boomer gameplay.
>>
>>696964579
>>696964793
also I don't think konami is ever going to learn into it too much because selling busted cards in modern yugioh is much more profitable. It costs several hundred dollars for a meta deck, with the last tier 0 deck costing like a thousand bucks or some shit.
Meanwhile I heard in pokemon a high tier meta deck costs $80-100. In yugioh you can't even get a single staple sometimes without shilling out a few hundred.
Yugioh for konami is just a pump and dump scheme with how they release busted cards that are expensive, then reprint them, and then ban them to release more busted cards that do the same shit.
>>
>>696964579
>HAT
Don't even imply HAT is as good as GOAT let alone Edison. Hard to believe anyone finds a format dominated by basically nothing but the lamest Control decks, fun. Edison and Tengu are the only actual good playable retro formats. DUEA and TOSS will be realized to be good when people get their heads out of their ass and revisit them in real numbers.
>>
>>696960417
Rebecca mains Luster Dragons. So she'd probably get Alexandrite Dragon, Hyozanryu, throw in some dragon support via spells and traps and bam.
>>
PSA: Yu-Gi-Oh Speed Duel is going on production hiatus after Battle City Finals so DL is probably gonna recover some popularity in the coming year or so.

My sources tell me it'll be 2026 minimum before it continues. Reprints are unlikely but not off the table.
>>
>>696959867
Game has been mechanically dead for over 10 years.
>>
>>696965928
So has my mom, what's your point, butthole?
>>
>>696965493
>if your deck's only monsters are luster dragon, alexandrite dragon, and hyozanryu, double their original attack and they cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects
Something like that?
>>
>>696965020
They ship tier 0s that cost $500 only to ban it out completely in six months and retards have the gall to shit on games with rotation. Magic Standard is like $200 to compete for three years, Pokemon averages around $90 for two years, One Piece is around $150 average with no rotation, Shadowverse Evolve ranges from like $60 to $200 with no rotation, but Yugioh's most recent tournament was won by a deck that cost $1,400(!), is made up almost entirely of cards that came out in the last six months, and will likely be banned in three months. It's unreal.
>>
>>696966718
it's total madness, the modern game looks like some nft/crypto rugpull shit konami has going on. I have no idea why people keep giving konami money, because they're the reason they refuse to change the game and make it more like a proper fucking card game.
This is also a huge reason many locals don't even have yugioh anymore. People that weren't spending a thousand after every banlist were just punching bags for the players that did and were getting them free packs by paying to join tournaments.
>>
>>696959867
They should just forget Duel Links and import its assets to Master Duel.
>>
>>696959867
It taught me how synchro and Xyz summoning worked so i will never forget it.
I would probably still play it if i wasnt a retard and linked my account before my phone got stolen.
>>
>>696967329
You're explaining how my locals scene died to the letter. Casual players who were good players but didn't sink thousands into the game (think people who could make stuff like Phantom Knights, Swordsoul, or Marincess sing) got sick of having their shit banned or made irrelevant while the slow playing asshole "pros" who drove shitbox cars always seemed to have the newest best deck and staples got sweatier and sweatier while demanding better prize support. The shop buckled, moved from a pack per win prize system to first through third takes everything, people got sick of being farmed, and went to Edison or other games. A couple of assholes who barely ever even bought their stuff from the shop balkanized a previously solid locals scene where everyone played to hang out with their friends.
>>
>>696966603
Sounds about right lmao
>>
>>696965994
gain test
>>
>>696959867
Duel Links is flat out unplayable now, holy shit have the skills gotten completely out of control.

>>696965020
Is it really profitable though? People are quitting the game in droves while it consistently fails to bring in new blood. Sure they're milking whales for all they're worth, but that can only go so far.
>>
>>696968291
Master Duel absorbs a lot of the losses you'd expect them to see over the past few years. If they didn't release Master Duel when they did they'd be in extreme panic mode by now.
>>
>>696967873
I don't have any hope in konami, which is why I'm happy at least that alternative formats and events being run by the community are taking off, and I think it's better they keep their distance from konami because they ruin everything they touch.
>>696968291
these decisions are all made by people in suits looking at numbers. I imagine they think the whales are worth squeezing for now, not sure if it will ever change in the future. And you have to wonder whether it will be too late by then to bring people back in since we have other card games popping up and gaining players.
>>
>>696959867
they killed it by bringing in modern archetypes and giving them skills
modern powercreep was often gatekept by only releasing the shittier parts of an archetype and limiting them to generic skills
anime larp decks were ass in terms of individual power but skills would bring them up to a level where they can compete
duel links now is a mix of the worst of both sides
>>
>>696959867
Did it to themselves.
Rush is garbage that nobody cares about and now it is 50% of the game and new content.
Also skills are so ridiculously overpowered that you really shouldn't play any deck that doesn't have a skill that makes you go +1, +2 or +3 for free.
And getting new cards is still ass cancer since day 1.
>>
>>696961754
we weren't getting much even before MD, tag force 6 came out in what, 2012? and even then it never saw an international release.
im just happy we finally have a good official simulator.
>>
>>696968291
>holy shit have the skills gotten completely out of control.
Since Zexal arrival btw. Many blame DSOD world but that was the limit, after that... all hell
>>
>>696959867
one of most p2w gacha games ever
>>
>>696965493
>>696961897
Rebecca is just meta shit. She'd probably play dragon links.
