I think it's more likely we see an add-on to other services, similar to how games pass offers ea and ubi connect discounts and benefits. I think sega will go for steam connectivity and forego gamepass as one of the first big ones.

I wouldn't get TOO excited about a subscription service to all their old games, internally it seems like they're just pooling the Dreamcast/Saturn Ports and the Genesis roms under the new branding "Sega Classics", accidentally referring to them as this.
I thought they were gonna add their systems to Switch Online seeing that there's already the Genesis emulator on it and not so long ago they updated it with more games after removing their old collection.
