Technically if you don't play hsr on auto it has only one less button you press during combat. It would be cool if zzz was some dynamic action game by regular action game standards, but it isn't, because it was also made mainly to play casually on mobile whenever. That's not me shitting on the games, otherwise I wouldn't play them, it's just how it is.

It's unsalvageable. I left it after after the Penacony mess and recently came back because I saw that they finally announced a new potato loli.but I'm going to uninstall again because it's unplayable.6 hours of boring text like Genshin and on top of that, I tried the new Apocalyptic Shadow and the new TV boss is everything wrong with HSR. Not only did they take the laziest difficulty decision, which is to raise the HP, they also further aggravated their problem of "we create enemies that only these units can defeat"I dont know what Rappa does but I guess it's the "pull for Rappa" boss.Also the powercreep is awful, Sunday is fucking broken. I feel stupid for pulling Sparkle and her cone
Honestly the powercreep killed it. I dropped the game while in the middle of grinding relics for my newest rolled character only to see leaks about how the next one is going to btfo mine and it's all pointless. Powercreep is just completely offputting in a turn based game because you have no choice but to abide by it since there's no skill involved in the combat system, just pure numbers.

Hard to say. More people are realizing that HSR is a glorified visual novel with autobattling, and it was especially evident with the word salad fiesta in Penacony

>>698196604The pace of powercreep that HSR is what's unnatural. Expecting no powercreep in a numbers game was never going to happen. The problem is even though the game is fundamentally shallow; by year 1, the devs already broke most of the rules defining their already shallow gameplay. Stuff like universal toughness, FuA spam straining the constraints of believability of just how many turns your characters can take, cycle 0 autism, superbreak. There's basically no more mechanical constraints to HSR gameplay anymore so it can only go "number go up" or throw in RNG based enemy reactionary mechanics or hp% stopgaps like FGO. It's funny that powercreep, goonerism, shit that people praised genshin for having less of, now both HSR/ZZZ are pretty much the poster child for those respective "gacha gaming sins". Plenty of turn based gachas did not shit the bed so fast, so rapidly as HSR did.
I just finished the penacony story and the story is now about Sunday getting freed by jade. I don't think it's that bad. Sure there's some moments where it feels like the writer had a seizure but it's not as bad as luofu.
