Let people build up those younger units instead of trying to contrive a reason for children to exist as adults at the same time as your previous units who didn't age enough to give them new sprites/models. You can also add generics and/or kidnapping back in so people can build up if they want to go full iron man mode, while keepping the cast of plot important units manageable and not full of named units with 3 lines of dialogue who didn't need to be there.

Here's the thing, if you can afford the Speedtaker price tag, then it's a better inherit from the outset, because, prior to completing Lyn's paralogue, you can only inherit up to SPD+3, meanwhile speedtaker is just available as soon as you unlock Lyn inherits, and it only takes two kills for it to give more speed than SPD+3. Then, on the other hand, you have SPD+5, which is not only locked behind paralogue completion, but also 18 bond levels. These are things that not even the well changes, since it doesn't matter if you have infinite SP, you still have to clear those unlock conditions first to get it.

Remember, bond fragments are also used for engraves, so if you're looking to put those on high rank weapons, that's going to eat into that budget too. My first clear of the game was pre-well, and even though I gave most of my final team some level of SPD+, only a few of them had +5, while most had +4. Where I'm at with how I play now, I'd much rather spend those bond fragments raising Eirika for my non-physical units to get Gentility+, because SPD+3~4 is honestly good enough for those who need it.

When they are immersed in your world only by shatting on the world itself can you get them off your work.Things like the monastery in the war phase were convenient and logical from the developers perpective or recycling maps, but not for the player, the player expected to get off to war, that was what the military school was for! The player expected to visit new locations from the paralogues, not to revisit maps that have nothing to do with the locations they were supposed to be in!
