Kind of a shame honestly, since the region looks fun and the story is finally getting interesting. But first they do the fucking stygian dogshit endgame whale check mode, then this level 100 whale buff, I also expect the new Imaginarium difficulty to be a whale check but it also gives primos because they're basically worthless for whales so why not and to add salt to the wound they're also locking open world flavor behind paywalls now, if you own the right character you get special interactions and lore/background bits here and there.Honestly in Fontaine and Sumeru I was amazed how as a f2p I could do my 36 star abyss and there was literally nothing a f2p could not do as easy as a giga whale gameplaywise. Then they shot themselves in the foot by releasing a direct competitor to genshin with HSR, then they shot the other foot clean off with ZZZ. Now they've gotta invest in 3 projects to make the same amount of money investing in one of them would make and of course they stoop down to fucking cringe like whale pandering and character checks to bait whales into paypigging more and casuals to pull to stay competitive. What I don't understand is why they don't just do skins instead of fucking shit that impacts gameplay. They do what 2 non free skins a year? Level 100 should help with DPS since there's a damage demerit attached to level difference. So if you're twenty levels below what you're fighting, you do less damage while taking more. In the Spiral Abyss, the strongest enemies are level 100, meaning there's a 10 level demerit if you're level 90. But if your DPS is level 100, then that demerit disappears completely. In Stygian Onslaught, the enemy level goes up to 105, meaning a 15 level demerit. So at level 100, that demerit is reduced to just five levels.
