I've thought about this quite a bit so if you'll listen to my take, here's the way I ultimately see it.

Humans prefer things made by humans. Individual humans have pride in what their species accomplish, which is why when you see a grand cathedral you appreciate the craftsmanship that went into it, but you also appreciate the drawings of a child. All of these things are distinctly "human." That's what I believe the definition of sovl is, it's that a piece of creative artwork is imbued with a human soul by nature of being created by a human.

Obviously, if you don't TELL people that something was made by AI, and they're reasonably sure it could be human made, they'll prefer a "good" AI song over a bad human one. But if you ever told them that it was AI generated, most people (with a consciousness) will immediately prefer the human made version, because there's nothing impressive about an AI generating a song without thought. While a human did prompt the AI, you're basically comparing a fully written, if flawed, song made by a human, versus the mere IDEA of a song written by someone else. It's like trying to compare someone who builds a house versus someone who draws a cathedral and asking which is the better architect. Every bit of AI you use to help you with the final product is progressively lowering the value of the achievement until you reach the point where nobody will be interested in your work.

I am sure that if you were to hide the fact that the song you made was done with AI, you could probably sneak it past. But I'd like to ask you, what would be the point? Is the purpose of the musical to create the best songs sung with the voice of an angel? Or to have fun, and try and wrack your brain to make something that is an expression of yourself and the culture we have on this board? If your only goal is popularity, I think you'd have more success just making AI songs year round on a youtube channel and not involving yourself with the musical.

Music? We had a lot of scrutiny last year on the Diversity anon, he got asked to show his stems and work many times and he provided it. If someone submits "OC" and there's no proof it's actually made by humans, it should be DLC at best and excluded entirely in many cases.

Lyrics? Maybe the most possible to slip something through, but it's going to be so soulless and bland that it's unlikely anyone considers singing it. It would very likely need significant human reworks before it was even submitted anyway.
