I'm probably halfway through and the game is fun but too fair, it doesn't feel right that I'm not getting buttmad at all at anything. Closest was the lantern party purgatory but it wasn't too bad.
I don't understand the enemy variety complaints from reviewers. NG3 had the same 3 enemy types recycled endlessly from start to finish, and NG2 had less than 20 unique enemies, including bosses. 1 did have a lot of variety. You meet close to 30 different enemies by chapter 10 in NG4, and they all have their own movesets. Not just different levels of aggression and a different colored outfit.
