I'm having fun
Can someone post some appealing gameplay or at least sell the game to me in some way? I was excited about the prospect, but all of the gameplay I've seen is just watching ugly ass characters quietly looting empty buildings and killing tiny little robots that pose no threat. I've yet to see a tense moment like Tarkov or silly/fun moments like a sneaky rogue in Dark and Darker breaking down a 3-man team by double jumping and stealthing around like a rat.So far the gameplay just seems boring?

The sound design is great and the combat is meaty, it feels good to put players down like the dogs they are. The arc drones are crazy on levels like space port but my only problem is there is a lack of ground Arc units that can’t be kited by windows of a building. They needed some kind of deployable arcs that flush people out of buildings (not the rolling droids, they aren’t threatening enough). Some kind of mechanical dog or something that takes a decent amount of focus to destroy. Otherwise every big bad arc can be kited to death from a window if you have the ammo.Overall i give it a 7/10, fun game, mechanics are satisfyingCons - character cosmetics suck ass and I don’t feel scared in this game compared to games like dark and darker, where some areas of a map are extremely dangerous and you get a dump of adrenaline if you are caught out by them

I feel like every single extraction game fails at actually making fun loot. Like if I want PvP, why not play a battle royale or some 6v6 fps instead of spending hours and hours grinding up materials to craft shit to grind more to craft more only to then finally have a build that puts me on the same level as a BR/6v6 game only to then lose it randomly to some BS death? If I want a PvE game, same question why would I not go play left for dead, hell divers, cod zombies, or some other fps co-op pvp game that just lets me play the game instead of forcing in weird survival and crafting and extracting mechanics? It feels like these types of games are just battle royales with extra steps and I never understood it because the looting part is always the worst part. The mechanics are either slow and clunky or the loot just is never inspiring. You either get some garbage materials, get some garbage items, or get some key that you bring into the next raid to get more garbage materials.

Like Fortnite and its other clones the NPC flat is a way to take what was vibrant color and dull them down into flats of that color. This has the best moment to moment gameplay since Helldivers 2. Just God tier enemy A.I. that constantly applies pressure, and the potential for a Raider to attack you. I really like that people wont attack each other in specific areas because of the potential of alerting ARCs. It helps that the game is very immersive

I watched a guy meticulously fight a rocketeer for 3 minutes. He finally ferro'd it down and it feel from on high the Dam to the plain below. I looted a little bit but retreated to the bush to let him have the main body. 4 wasps drop right next to my bush and hone in on him. I just watch not even needing to third party as he is without cover and a ferro cant possibly kill them all. I had to wait for all the wasps to scatter to finally take my pick. Being a voyuer rat is fun in itself. Poor guy. I'm carrying smoke no matter what after seeing that robbery.

Is the legendary loot actually "legendary" (like in an MMO or Dark and Darker with unique visuals and effects) or is it just a boring stat upgrade from purple? If the latter, then D&D is the only extraction game that does loot correctly.

unironically Marathon was more interesting to play than this. Weapons lack any sort of punch, it feels like tickling away the enemy's health until they trip and fall down. The problem with Hunt is that the PvE aspect is so braindead easy because it's meant to be more of an obstacle than an actual threat, and the PvP is the real attraction. In Arc, the PvE is enough of a threat that teaming up is actually viable and extremely satisfying.

Its also pretty much close quarters so going in with a stitcher 3 with mods on it will allow you to rat and hose people down really fast if you hit your shots and ambush them. It is my professional opinion that most gamers really actually prefer flavor of the month and the feeling of an in group, and that the quality of game doesn't really matter as long as it has the momentum or the perception of momentum even.
