It can catch people off guard and removing a monster while putting up a 4k beater definitely comes up. The simple fact Yugioh doesn't have a mulligan rule (and the first turn no longer draws) kind of illustrates how Konami fucked up. I'm guessing Genesys was intended to act as a dampener on some of this, but it doesn't really change the underlying fabric of what the game has become so I'm guessing it just exacerbates other problems.
