>>729263594Plenty of other online games do that.I think the issue with hero shooters specifically is the role balance is whack, even moreso than pure MOBAs. Its why I think Deadlock has a shot because of having an item system/character progression through a match unlike OW2 or Rivals.

CS at its core has barely changed, League and Dota are 10+ years old each, Fortnite even in its first years were changing balance/design drastically, and even with floundering popularity games like Apex, Siege, Warzone etc they are still some of the larger games out.Quality will obviously be hit but that is subjective to people, as people go away they need to change stuff to appeal to new people
