So do you guys think someone has already figured out the entire plot of the game? Or do you think there's things that are still completely unpredictable outside of complete hail mary?
>>729674943video game thinktanks are very nascent in the gaming sphere.
Deltarune fans read "When you have a bat, everything looks like a ball" and thought it meant "Dess is scary".
>>729675015Why won't you address the allegations
>>729674943No. Nobody predicted Knight fight in Chapter 3 or Titan fight in Chapter 4.
>>729674943No. Nobody predicted (you), the player, would force kris to rape the doe.
>>729674943>already figured out the entire plot of the gameRemember that era between chapter 1 and 2 when everyone thought DELTARUNE was gonna be an evil genocide route horror game? I know we have a lot more setup and foreshadowing to work with now, but i still think about that era every time someone brings up "predicting the entire plot"
>>729676887quick rundown?
>>729674943Man the roaring knight fight was so cool.Probably my favorite boss in both deltarune and undertale.https://youtu.be/5LMku77k4AY9D4DtQHZaZInWpndFirst time that toby managed to tickle my chuuni pickle.
>>729676887We are literally going to kill Susie and Ralsei, though. Genocide theory won in the end.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLicL9ndP3Anoelle confirmed to be 16, now shut up about her and the rest of the cast being middle schoolers
>>729677594>try to beat sans>have to do some shit in a bit.>decide to make one final attempt before I have to stop and leave>actually win>don't have time to watch the finale so save and quit>haven't assed myself to actually finish the gameI really should just beat the game.Feel kinda bad for them, but can't bitch out at the last second.
>>729677953That's for the better. You experienced all of genocide without losing your SOUL to Chara.
>>729675789To be fair, Toby as a writer is a complete cunt, so it could be interpreted in literally any way possible.
>>729674943Literally impossible because Toby learned the Front-loaded writing style from Hussie. You front load all the themes, symbols, meanings and connections in the story. And then as the story develops you pluck whatever fits the best and run with it.This is the Hussie Clans hidden technique [Retroactive Foreshadowing]
>>729678941I think it's Toby's way of telling players to not be so sure of the Knight's identity or about chapter 5. So many deltarune theorists open with "so we know that chapter 5 will be about asgore's dark world" like that's unambiguous canon, and dess knight has been treated the same way.The Knight could easily be a Darkner that somehow figured out how to exist in the Light World in non-object form, but needs to maintain a critical number of dark fountains to maintain this form. In this respect it'd be the opposite of Ralsei in almost every regard, a selfish being that only cares for itself.
>>729679887Flower shop Dark World with Asgore’s flowers as darkners is probably true. I can't see it being anywhere else after the intense foreshadow of it.
>>729679887To be fair I think a darkner/lightner hybrid is probably the easiest explanation, it would explain why the Knight is all weird while also explaining it's ability to open fountains and also exist in the light world, atleast to an extent. A pure darkner Knight doesn't make much sense based on what we know, it was stated that only lightners can open fountains, so unless Toby decides to break the rules of his own story(which I would not put past him), I really don't think that's what it's gonna be.
>>729680127I think it is probably true, but could also be not chapter 5. Hear me out:Deltarune's chapters being in reverse order from Undertale's areas is probably true, and has held up in the game's story:Chapter 1 - City and Asgore's Castle area in Undertale (forgor the name)Chapter 2 - COREChapter 3 - HotlandChapter 4 - WaterfallBased on this, Chapter 5 will be closest to Snowdin, which isn't exactly a garden area. It does line well with the Hometown festival having winter themes, the "cold wind" foreshadowing in Chapter 3 and the rain at the end of Chapter 4: just have the rain turn to snow. The Dark World will thus also be snowy, but that does not line well with the Flower Shop theory. If we go by this, Chapter 6 takes place in the Shelter (analogue of Ruins), and Chapter 7 in the Flower Shop (analogue of the starting area where Frisk falls on a bed of flowers). So Flower Shop is the final dark world, not the Chapter 5 one.
>>729680625Chapter 3 wasn't a lava land despite being Hotland. Chapter 4 had no water despite being Waterfall. Snowdin is a FOREST. It's the only forest in Undertale. So a garden representing Snowdin makes perfect sense.
>>729679559...but the technique you're referring to is "stealing fan theories"
>>729679887it's toby saying "when the only number you have is 1225 you're gonna put it into everything fucking idiot thats not the answer"
>>729681051True, only lava in Chapter 3 is during Tenna's crashout and only water in Chapter 4 is in the holy water waterfall. The garden in Asgore's unheated room/basement (divorced dad shit) could easily turn into a snowy wintry flower meadow and forest in the dark world.
>>729681415Asgore also has a suspicious freezer that Toby points out in the sixth anniversary stream.
>>729674943>>729204051
>>729682131Gaster is a cringe ass character.
>>729674943Someone probably has figured it out, same with the ending of One Piece and all other internet theory bullshit. A narrative can only subvert expectations so much without becoming a farce, with the amount of people trying to figure it out there's statistically almost certainty that at least one of them came to similar conclusions to what the writer has in mind.
>>729679887>>729678941Toby’s just taking the piss out of people who think the funny dess number is tied to everything, it’s not that deep. But what the fuck did Toby mean with this response?
In children dissociative identity disorder can sometimes manifest in a particular type of imaginary friend upon which they can rely for guidance, protection or even someone upon which they can shift accountability. These types of imaginary friends can be very helpful coping tools but can also be quite menacing or even dangerous to the child hosting them.
