People tried to be on their best behavior to follow vague guidelines, we were told the thread would be monitored and if we didn't get too "general-y", things would be hunky dory. So long as these threads are populated with as many people as they are and continue to be the fastest moving threads on the board, it will be seen as an issue by the mods. No amount of wagering will stop that. That is why it's good for people to take breaks and not make threads immediately. During the time of diplomacy people understood not to push it and make so many threads per day. The excuse is often given "but everyone has different sleep schedules and time zones so someone will make a new thread anyway". The reality is it doesn't really matter. All that matters is if the particular janny is on shift and has a bone to pick. We can stay 100% on topic and discussing video games and it still wont matter. If we have too many threads or move too fast, it pisses them off. You can plead to the "nice" mods, but they cant control the other mods. We also can't really take the mods for their word on anything. That whole thing about disciplining a rogue janny might have just been a flat out lie. If the person we've pissed off is Abib, or rape ape, or whoever is at the top of the chain of command, simply no amount of bargaining will do anything. The only way is to slow down. Stop making so many threads. Stop posting in threads. Take a break for a day or two. The goal was never to make a general or have this be one, so people need to remember that.
