fucking hilarious how easy and fun it is to break the game, they did good, even if it can feel a bit too easy especially brainlessly going into hard modes of early sections the moment you have even some decent synergies.Like I barely even tried and my tank is an unkillable beast that swaps to whatever ally gets targetted, gets armor for being attacked + counter attaacks for +10 damage every single time, he just demolishes everything while making sure the rest of the party is untouched, plus the "swap" skill barely costs 2 mana so it's extremely spammable and stacks infinitely.

Binding of Isaac had some grinding, but you didn't have to breed a hundred Isaacs like Farmville or some fucking mobile gacha slop before you could make any significant progress. The fact that everyone locks upgrades behind ludicrous amounts of runs is total padding bullshit and I'm considering dropping this game. No wonder it's "300 hours long" or whatever, I spent all fucking day doing the same shit over and over, aborting runs and going back home to constantly save progress, because the game doesn't want you to push on like in Isaac. It wants you to come back, breed them, and fucking grind over and over and over. This feels like it's designed to be a skinner box more than a strategy game.

Any ability that gives a flat benefit like spawning pickups or familiars gives crazy value. Really Mini Me is only NOT good if your cat has a bunch of large AoE because the AI doesn't seem to care about hitting allies. The game is pretty forgiving if you cat max right. I killed my mage against the two headless junkyard bosses and the game gave me another free cat. You really only need 3 cats to win honestly
