My yearly urge to play MMO RPGs is acting up again.Are there any new developments about viable (semi-)modern MMORPGs without MTX?I am fine with upfront price and subscription, or even both. But I can't stand any form of MTX. P-Servers are fine too.

i had a dream last night i was playing an mmo and i was with a group of people hiding on a balcony in some kind of crumbling fort in a pvp zone. there were two max level players with us talking over the mic. one of them was clearly ian mckellen and he was playing a gandalf type wizard, and with him was another old guy as another type of wizard that seems to specialize in force fields, they were arguing like gay lovers over the mic. the other wizard summoned a force field around his head like an astronaut helmet. i was a higher level warrior type character. the enemy started poking in the fort then i jumped down and shot a cross brow then started attacking them with my flaming sword.

There's FFXI that's eleven on official servers if you want to sub.Would recommend Ephinea though. Phantasy Star Online is still a fantastic experience and the community is inviting and active.Garrysmod surprisingly too. More a mix of the social and in-game stuff on bigger game modes and servers.
