I just finished the game and it was quite the ride.Pros:The entire first half of the game is perfect. Walking down the street until you get to raccoon city is just chefs kiss, some of the best stuff this series has ever offered.Grace is an interesting character with an awesome voice actor.Leon.Leon gameplay mostly feels good but a little stiff, but I do think that’s by design as he is both sick and in his 50s in this game.Walking into the RPD again was an incredible nostalgic trip.Visuals, sound and music are all top notch. Why does Grace go from survival at any cost to just following Temu Weskers orders?Victor was cool if not a little goofy. My gf walked by me playing the game and literally said “he’s funny looking.“I played on Standard modern and felt the game was a bit too easy as a first playthrough , especially the last act in the lab, they gave you way too many resources to fight the lickers.Cons:Boss battles were hit or miss. The final boss was a bit of a cluster fuck, the spider was probably the best one and Mr. X was a bit of a push over.The second half of the game just doesn’t have the same level of quality as the first half. Beyond the bike chase and RPD nostalgia trip, it’s a bit bland. Particularly the section where you’re getting the detonator, the game kind of goes out of control with weird zombies with weapons and air strikes. I got yeeted off a building by a zombie throwing a cinder block at me. its too much. I believe it does elevate once you blow up the gate and until the end but damn, it really does feel a bit messy. Also that bit with the soldiers felt slightly out of place.The bad ending... I chose this at first and it genuinely made me angry.
