Unfortunately, they gave it partly to Nomura, and Nomura has been bastardizing Final Fantasy since Kingdom Hearts. He needs to be removed from Final Fantasy, or reverted purely to a character designer. If we're being realistic and looking on the bad side, they wanted to milk their remaining fans for all they were worth. And hey, it's working. I liked the fact that Cloud Sword style can change, and each one is very similar to both Zack and Sephiroth.
