I'm in Diamond 2 and still frequently getting matched with absolute retards. Like full blown, Onion Knight picking PvP fights at level 3, genuinely does not understand the game retarded. Ranked points are entirely made up, just hit the queue button and you will climb. This of course means that when I eventually hit Omega it will be meaningless and that I will be forced to suffer too many low quality, unfun matches which in turn mean the game is bad, which sucks. I beat FF4 on DS last night. It was really fun. I liked how much harder it was, for the most part. There were a few instances of things just being obnoxious/tedious toward the end, which is a shame, but overall it was a satisfying experience. It's a been a while since I played an FF where the endgame felt like a legitimate threat.I really liked the graphics and voice acting, though. The low-poly models are dated, but charming, and split the difference between the original chibi sprites and Amano's designs. The character models are dynamic and colorful and just feel like "fantasy" in a way that is sadly rare nowadays. I'm usually not a fan of voice acting, but it was really good, too. Everyone was chewing the scenery and all the deliveries were hokey and melodramatic, which fit the game's atmosphere perfectly.If we ever get more remakes, I really hope the channel this vibe.
