I feel like Humans get the upper hand having some of the strongest late game units in the game. The only way I found to survive and build up a considerable late game force is to play Dreadlord+Dark Ranger and the Infernal+Charm on strongest enemy unit carried me to victory until my heroes were strong enough to tank everything with ease

Because living dangerously as a hunter building mini bases throughout the map was way more fun, especially if you also ended up being the werewolf.
