This game is only playable with the right mindset. You must accept that yes, it is old shit and a grueling test of patience, which is why I'll never ever recommend anyone to start the series with this one. You have to look up all sorts of information and you really should use the emulators turbo function to make the farm a bit more tolerable. Nearly everything that will piss you off about this game is going to be remedied in later games, so you can't really be too mad about it.
