Should I play Atelier?
I haven't played the Ryza games and I don't plan to play them, that said, I've played Atelier Sophie 1 and I like it.

I like Atelier Sophie, I considered it a little better than Atelier Firis, the alchemy system is fun to use, I like the fact that you can use different cauldrons, customize Plachta's appearance with alchemy is an interesting mechanic and the characters are likeable, Sophie is at least a decent protagonist who does her best after her grandma passed away, Oskar is a fun character who speaks to the plants, Monika is a good friend of Sophie (who goes to the church often), Leon is a fashion designer who can also fight, etc...The fight against Nazarus was easy in my experience with the game but, oh, Thistle Lotus is an amazing boss theme! I love it!...I can keep going but Atelie Sophie 1, not a bad game in my opinion. What about you? Have you played an Atelier game before?
