here are my top 3 and most likely to buy on release
1. ascenders, very fun puzzle/ management game
2. iron harvest, artillery sim but suprisingly fun and addicting
3. restory, game about restoring old consoles and phones, surprisingly fun

as a bonus here are my biggest disappointments
1. onimusha, it looks cool and plays nice but its so fucking mind numbingly easy I didnt die a single time playing the demo
2. mistfall hunter, the trailers made it look exciting its super shit
3. empulse, titanfall with all the fun removed, on rails movement, mechs are pointless, looks extremely generic

Gonna shill some of my favorites again.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3978510/Chained_Beasts_Demo/

Action game where you play as a gladiator chained to... something. Fight back, use the environment, excite the crowd, make sure the chain doesn't drag you down, and use it against your enemies. Looks stlysh, sounds nice, plays well.

Dicebuilder where you play as a rogue AI core on a crusade against the humans. Pilot ships, outfit them with modules, shove dice into those modules, and try to win by creating outlandish combinations. I'm quite fond of the artstyle.
>>
I feel like, if you dislike rogue likes, you're just completely fucked nowadays. Traditional level design is dead.

Next Fest continues to be my favourite thing in gaming and these are by far the best threads on here.
Like many I initially thought the AI-Sloppa was going to make it impossible to find any decent demos but thankfully I found plenty (Over 62), many from you guys so thank you everyone here who actually plays vidya.

Will highlight a few favourites I haven't seen much discussion on
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2984850/Rita/
Chicken puzzle game where you find letters in the world and then use them in crosswords to progress
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2798330/Dungeon_Settlers/
Colony sim where you send colonists into dungeons to loot and then go back to expand your base
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2431080/Blood_Dungeon/
Nidhogg devs made a fun spelunky style survivor-like (I normally hate survivor-likes)
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3702100/The_Secret_of_Weepstone/
D&D dungeon crawler, Liked this much more than I expected to
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2410360/Mirth_Island/
Kinda a Short Hike but your rebuilding your community theater and theres rhythm minigames

I'm not playing anything this week so I need to download the demos so I still have them to play next week. What other ones should I download that are standout? I don't like roguelites, deck builders, clones of recently popular games like VS, or anything trying to look like a VN or RPG maker game that isn't actually made by nips.

Maybe try Oroject Turboblast (racing) and No Such Place (unless extraction shooter counts as a clone).

I find it odd that developers looked at Tarkov selling and then had their takeaway be "Holy shit, people love Extraction shooters! We should be making more of those!" when people play Tarkov for the gun autism, and not the extraction aspect.

For what little a word of a random internet stranger is worth to you, I'd like to vouch that some chinks make really good games. Nine Sols, Lost Castle 2, Keplerth, all chinkshit that is actually really good within its respective genres.
>>
>>741563934
I mean, there IS some appeal to extraction that people enjoy, otherwise Arc Raiders wouldn't be so hot. I think people would just prefer PvE co-op versions by and large which is why Marathon became niche as it's more about griefing people and being aggro.

This is kinda pretty good if you have a gambling itch. Basically it's a turn-based RPG where you play blackjack to activate your team's skills or disable enemy actions. Both sides' members activate depending on the cards drawn and you can control this with a limited number of re-deals.

My topmost recommendation is Witch of the Dark Castle by a former Vanillaware Veteran Artist.
He's the one responsible for the Pen & Paper mode in Dragon's Crown Pro (JP only) and this game is the fully realized version of that.
Basically a Pen & Paper DnD style RPG adventure with lots of branching paths and events, great art and music, and good writing with stellar Japanese voice acting. Composer is the same guy who made dragon's crown music, too

I'm typically not interested in this type of stuff (Visual Novel or Pen and Paper style) but gave it a chance because of the name behind it and it's a day 1 purchase for me now.

The Takeover 2 looks and feels a lot better than the original on the surface but for a game that clearly prides itself on being a lot like Streets of Rage they really fucked over the ways you normally defend yourself in SoR to put in a big fat parry button. The Signal-style enemies that do the slide will hit you if you neutral jump and try to attack coming down unlike every SoR so you just have to tap parry when it'll collide with you instead. The first 4 bosses get trivialized if you hold your gun ammo though I assume you're meant to spend it on those glory kills for score, and the boss in the cage seems weirdly not designed around the parry at all since it kept creating odd interactions when I kept parrying his simple windup punch.

I suppose going from a C- game to a C+ or B- is a step up.
>>
>>741568743

Hybrid city builder/card game/CYOA with some incredibly fancy UI. Felt kinda style over substance, as each gameplay "genre" is very basic compared to games that specialize in it, and the only difficulty comes from card draw RNG occasionally fucking you over.
Still worth a shoutout if the devs can spice it up a bit.

Actually in trying it again I noticed there's no i-frames on throws which is like beat-em-up 101 so C+ is its ceiling. Parries as a centralizing mechanic need to die, how the fuck can somebody try so hard to be SoR but throw so much of its natural defensive mechanics out the window for a parry? The side roll can't be done out of your string, there's no back attack, there's no throw invuln, your special move that gives you i-frames is limited to the coins dropped by enemies instead of costing life, you just parry or drop your combo when the game wants you to combo as much as possible for its "yeah we played SoR4" scoring. Also the execution/glory kills that use up a bullet don't even give you extra points they just give you an animation that kills the enemy when you've already done 75-90% damage if you managed to stun them in the first place so they're total fluff. They can also MISS if you aren't aligned with the stunned enemy despite being a long canned uncancellable animation.

They went from a subpar game all around to a game that feels good that is loaded with poor design.
>>
>>741568958
>>741570230
Ngl I thought the parry was absolutely useless against anything but bosses, I just used special attacks as my defense tool, since you can cancel anything into them and they give you more iframes than anything else, on top of that they also hit multiple times. The parry's so slow and you can cancel barely anything into it, so you're just fucked if you're comboing, which sucks when the entire game is built around keeping a combo alive for a full stage lest you get a shit rank. BTW special moves aren't tied to coin exclusively, they use coins first and then health when you don't have any coins left.
The dev has done some hard rebalancing and he hope he does more. Throws are useless and the executions don't do anything, as you've said.
>>
>>741570651
Actually I take throws being useless back, you can trivialize enemies that block with it.
>>
>>741570651
There was a moment where I tried to Special without any coins and nothing happened but maybe I got my input eaten. Still it's kind of fucked to have off-brand Signals that slide fullscreen and beat neutral jump attacks.
>>
>>741558213
Holy shit Trine 6 is so fucked. What the fuck were they thinking

Rescanned or upscaled, because there's a big fucking difference. I'm still assmad that I spent $600 on the Slayers BDs and that they were simply upscales and not rescans of cels.

Played The Merlies

It's a platformer exploration/adventure that looks really nice and seems like it has pretty high production values, but it's presented like a children's story book with a narrator and generally simple gameplay. There are light Pikmin elements, but you seem to control up to 3 birds that climb and jump, trying to find all your friends lost in the level.

Really the only annoying part is that running is a contextual action that only activates after walking for a certain amount of time, meaning you can't immediately start running. The levels are big enough that having to change direction and walk a couple seconds makes it feel a lot slower than it needs to be.

Tried Hyperwired

It's a top-down ship-shooty game, but you have limited fuel and shots, so you have to hook up to random satellites that recharge one of your specific functions. To unlock each next level, you need to hook up to every satellite while fighting random enemies and saving other ships.

Very arcade-y, because your energy is basically another type of life that constantly drains. But you still have regular life... Having to manage energy, ammo, superlaser energy, and health is kind of AIDS.

Is a clicker where you aim. Should have checked the tags, this one on me.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4355710/Star_Fire_Demo/
Playing random shmup game is horrible, this tag and bullet hell have been raped beyond recognition. This game is a bit like Rabi-Ribi. The graphics, the lacks of sound effect make it looks super amateurish but fine, there is an issue when you dash close to the ground after a jump and it get stuck. 3 bosses I though it was fun. Still not a shmup.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4524770/PathoBLASTA_RK_Demo/
You have smaller enemies moving in the background that are no enemies yet everything looks the same, beside not being fun to play is confusing. waste of time.

Geometry Wars but worse.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3840530?snr=5000_5100__
It was alright, is an arena shooter, get in a room and thing spawns. 3 weapons, a shotgun, pistol and a homing assault riffle. You have a magic bar that works as heal for 50% and ammo for your weapons except pistol, it reffils fast and enemies drop magic. I though it was an alright game, need better music.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4641850/Maximum_Thunderness_Demo/
It does look nice, it wasn't boring but it would have been ten times better without the little slugs enemies wasting my time. Overall I would say it is a fun game, a simple shooter roguelite so if you dig shooting stuff and roguelites it can be for you. didn't try any other character so maybe they are more fun to play with.

Man, the bullet hell and shoot'em up tag are a disaster, I regret wasting my time with this a bit. Fuck you, don't know who made this mess but I wish all the 7 plagues befall on those dirty insects, fuck you, fuck you vampire survivor, world is a fuck, death save us all.

Played Flock of the Seraphim because the characters looked cute. It's your standard survivorlike, but you recruit angels as your extra weapons.

Unfortunately it runs like shit, has a weird default resolution of 1920 x 1071, and is just easy without much room for special combinations and whatnot. The map is just a small room of randomly respawning stuff to kill/pick up. There are only like 4 types of enemies too, all of which are just melee.

>Empulse
Blatant Titanfall 2 clone. As a old /tfg/ man this hits pretty well (though needs some polish, sometimes I just randomly stop while slidehopping) and the paint gimmick is neat. However, the weapons look like they're all hitscan and you're forced to play as a nigger until level 44 where you unlock the white man, which instantly disqualifies this as potentially being good. While writing this I realized this is coming from the splitgate devs, which is probably also a huge red flag.
>Echos of Aincrad
combat is alright, map design is atrocious. Tries to be open world but is also insanely restrictive on where you can go if you try to walk anywhere but the paths. Everything either has high walls you can't climb, areas you can't drop down to because of the PATHETIC fall height, or actual invisible walls. I gave up after coming across a bridge that was blocked because "outside the mission area", despite LITERALLY going towards the objective and instead you have to take an extremely long path around. Also death game mode being locked out if you transfer your save to the full game sucks.
>Iron Nest
Pretty cool sim of controlling this giant fucking thing. I think this would be much better in VR, and some autist is already working on a VR mod which is great news. The angle controls being calculated automatically feels a little sour though, feels like something you should have to do yourself. Wishlisted
>Project Turboblast
this shit really gives that Redline feel. Though I feel like I shouldn't be allowed to abuse drifting as much as I have, you can pretty much do it on straightaways and spam boost forever. Looking forward to what mod support looks like. Wishlisted
>Burn 9
Neat MGS-like but you're playing Hal guiding Snake instead. Like the idea but there needs to be more gimmicks to the Operator gameplay instead of just "scan thing" and "go here". Wishlisted

>Xenofeels
Not sure how much more reference spam I could take but blasting fuckers with the shotgun felt surprisingly fun. The demo felt like enough, don't think I'd play more than that. The vehicle inspection sucks though I somehow passed day 7 anyways without ever figuring it out.
>Witch the Showdown
Pretty sick mix of realtime combat with cards but man does it ask a lot from you. I'm still getting tripped up trying to juggle cards while dodging attacks. One of the characters is blatantly using a VRChat booth outfit which is funny.
>The Second Reality Room
Love me chuunis and particulary this type of trauma take on it like in Chuu2. The deduction part can get annoyingly vague at times. There was one translation that I failed because one of the terms was a coin toss between students or salarymen, and I chose the wrong one by choosing students (which annoyingly, ended up being right anyways because the group was actually a mix of students AND salarymen). Wishlisted.
>Vholume
Perfection. It's like Mirror's Edge but at the faster speed that I've wanted and actually still manages to play smooth. Wishlisted.
>Sprawl Zero
Cool for a shooter and I'd like the weapon swapping if they added more cool gimmick weapons. I did find a secret chest that rotated between a bunch of weapons and it seems like all the gimmicky stuff is locked to the higher tiers (it scrolled past a katana at T6, and I got a T5 grenade launcher that shot five grenades at once and destroyed the environment) so I hope there's more ways to get those instead of just praying you actually spot a secret every level. Also needs some movement tech.
>Soul Ampz
Feels rather sovlful for some reason, guess since it has some decent art and characters for an RPGMaker game. Being able to swap formation mid battle is great for strategy, the card gimmick is cool and reminds me of RO. The demo only has four cards though so can't see how well the dev will work with this yet. Still gonna keep an eye on it.

3D sort of beat em up. This is a really cool and genuinely unique game and it left an impression on me that most don't, but if you play it be warned that it genuinely has one of the worst tutorials ever, explaining its weird control scheme and combat system through little pictographs and incomplete button prompts. Figuring out what the fuck I was doing is the closest I've ever felt to being a games journalist, but once I sorta figured shit out (and got past the stupid first real level where you just fly around looking for a bus) it was fun and pretty cool. The tutorial is genuinely inexcusably bad, though.

Pet The Cat

Very simple, cute, and small scale survivorlike where you pet the cat to attack. Certain things trigger on petting, random meowing, or moving.

You can sort of make a build, but it's not all that complex. The arena is also really small, so the screen can easily get cluttered without utilizing certain effects.

Train 45 is interesting because it's not the same old "you have to fight and lose to see the sex" and the voice acting is really good.

Pretty weak Fest, but I'm also pleasantly surprised that Anon's game from /agdg/ made it so high into the charts (FISH).
>>
>>741582738
It isn't part of the Fest. This has to be some sort of grift.
>>
>>741592409
Saw it in a random thread last night that probably was a grift and just wasn't paying attention to Nextfest banner shit with how late it was, so whoops.

Oh hey the demo Valve originally rejected got approved.
Not part of NextFest though.
And it's entirely in jap.

>>
>>741592367
I guess the 3d aspect of it and the weir kind of isometric camera threw me off, my brain didn't immediately connected it to Darkest Dungeon. I started playing it and as soon as I saw the food mechanic I realized it was kind of a clone, then once I finished the tutorial and got to "the base" where you can recruit climbers and shit I was like "ok, yes, it's the same game again"
>>
>>741589307
Like with any genre, framework, narrative, or artstyle: a skillful implementation is down to the designer.
There are a ton of bad games just as there are good ones. We're all finding our way through the muck to hopefully unearth something we genuinely enjoy, and as with all matters of taste, what we find enjoyable will differ.
you don't need to like the idea of a run-based arcadey experience, some devs will deliver well on it, some won't. that's life.
The roguewhatever paradigm resonates well with people who want to make episodic content for viewing, to have "endless replay value" for what they pay for a drop-in drop-out ad hoc experience, or just want to get super entrenched and familiar with a singular game. To them, a static game that is unchanging can stagnate and they specifically do not want that, or they may want a balance of games that keep them on their feet to play alongside ones that are designed by hand rather than by an algorithm. Not all genres could possibly work in that framework.

I don't know if this game will have something more, the intro was cool as hell but the gameplay so far is basic zelda shit, I suppose it was ok, maybe worth checking out? is not like this will be a 20 hours game anyway.

Not very isekai that the girl has too much armor, no ambigous gems and not overdesigned and without a catgirl slave. Anyway, it was a fun game but I don't see myself playing it, is a fun chaos shitpost although the police cars can become annoying if it reach max threat level. It drives well I would say.

So...yeah, I don't know, the trailer is awesome but when I tried to play it I didn't understand shit, I am not wasting time here learning when they didn't put a tutorial. Shame.

This one was hard as balls, is an Arkanoid but you can draw anywhere on the field as long as you have stamina. It was good, it has a curious magic build, you get a main spell and you put buffs on it, didn't manage to play too much 'couse I bad. Only issue is that the leftover lines can fuck you up if you miss the ball in your magic zone, draw a line below and it bounce against the leftover, lines tneed to be more visible. IS a good game.

wow, it looks like it can be a competent game but when you play it, it feels horrendous. You can aim with your mousse, look around blah blah blah right? well, your weapon only hit the spot in front of you, so you are always desiglined, why do I have mouse look if the game doesn't uses mouse? I also got lost quickly and menu control is abysmall along with the controls too, I run with ctrl and open my inventory with E. this is ass.

IS alright, nothing to write a lot about, you have parts, drop everyone on the wave of enemies, try to clear the objective, pretty generic twinstick shooter, just wish there was a way to buy weapons instead of praying to rngjesus to give me something. Walking against walls is weird and get you kind of stuck.

Yeah it's a stupid thing that still shows up in media down here every now and then. I always kind of just zone out whenever those show up because 99% of the time it's not even relevant to the actual content, and this game's no exception, has no purpose other than making you go "Huh?" at the start.

What sort of decks have you guys made? I'm assuming the second boss startoff 50 damage kamikaze unironically just kills 95% of decks unless every deck has some form of max HP stacking. Still ate shit afterwards anyways because the max HP damage scaling card only scales if you draw it and another max HP+ card in the same hand and the second boss scales absurdly + has 3+ phases.

Very simple and casual city-builder with 2 gather-able resources, plus gold. It's really bare bones, but I can sort of see where it's going. I've played other games with similar looks and themes and really liked them (Islanders), but I feel like a lot of branching or decision making needs to be implemented in order to give the player more motivation, whether it be optimizing or just battling the elements/geography.

I did one of those surveys at the end of a demo and it genuinely asked "which influencer would you like to see play this game?". Its literally over.

I played only a few minutes and got hardlocked, the concept is neat but it feels way too early still for a demo, will keep an eye on it.

I don't think it's woke the in-game art quality is lacking and doesn't live up to the characters. There are plenty of unique JP artists who could do a slightly artsy fartsy style that blow wants but superb like it doesn't have to be Helltaker or include otaku tropes.

Didn't try too many demos... in no particular order:
>Witch of the Dark Castle
>Burn-9
Both CYOA games, both interesting enough to run through the demo multiple times to see if I could find extra paths.
>Labyrinth of Aetheria
Simple retro dungeon crawler. Nothing outstanding, but I'm a sucker for the classic RPGs letting you make whole teams of custom characters.
>Fantasy World Manager
Demo doesn't have access to the deeper layers. Full thing could be interesting for setting up a complex world, but in the end it may be... an ant farm idle game.
>Slaughterhouse
The demo doesn't give enough time to accomplish much. I see the potential it has for the player being the orchestrator of a series of murders, even turning the victims against one another... but also how it could be lacking, a little too routine.
>Omen
Solid top-down space shooter, random missions/upgrades but avoids roguelite powerup aspect, but the sprites are so small.
>Truck-Kun
Cute, but I got bored pretty quick after a few monotonous runs. Maybe the full thing will have more elements.
>Heroes of Aincrad
>Onimusha
Not bad higher budget action games, but not worth close to $70. I like the slower, more committal combat, can't dodge out of anything at any time.
>Wind Runners
"I'm spending 350/360 of the time doing loops around giant ships so I can peck at them for a fraction of a second." Also heavy roguelite incremental powerup slop where my turrets and special reactions were doing more than I was after a few missions. Not for me.
>Kernel Hearts
Roguelite hacknslash, Risk of Rain 2 style fixed map with random events. Maybe it gets better with more unlocks, but I got bored after a few runs (maybe shouldn't have played Sinner Mode).
>Edge of Memories
Somewhat stiff XXX and YYY action game with Dodge Offset. It was okay, but the demo crashed on me. Not for me.

Reminder to always replay demos you're split on. This is soo much better now. One the one hand, silly it took them so long to get on par with the original game, on the other hand, it's awesome now. Story seems basic but still got me hooked. Stays on wishlist.

>Infinity Lancer
Very fun patterns in this. Positioning is important for score collection, or you have to play aggressively close. Pretty hard for me. Wishlisted.

>70s-style Robot Anime Geppy-X
Excellent production values in this and you have loads of tools to play with. Wishlisted.

>DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite
Incredible patterns. I'll play this one day, but atm it's way too hard

>Flooded Burials
Very nicely done, but the combat wasn't that fun to me, a bit too repetitive.

>Changeable Guardian ESTIQUE
Looks fantastic, plays OK but is very simple. The slower mechs recharge system is a bit unintuitive. It's too easy, even I was able to beat it on hard.

It can't be helped. Even if it is possible in that fantasy universe to have a genuine functional swap to the other sex, and the creators not doing it for any reason other than "magic should be capable of doing it," the taint of transhit lingers... Of course, a true sex change is not something the freaks actually want.

I guess its whatever. I kinda sadly accepted that there are games out there I like that will be compromised to some degree so its a matter of tolerance. If its a fucking line, I can probably handle that. But if its "Pick a third gender" at the character select, that's apparently my limit. Would rather not have to fucking tolerate it in any capacity whatsoever but I can't deny that every now and again those faggots know how to make a decent (DECENT BEING THE WORD HERE, because these fuckers like to pretend Celeste is the greatest platformer ever created) game every now and again.

my only recommendation is "batomon showdown", the truth is if you play today you will probably not even buy the game when it comes out because there is TOO MUCH gameplay in the demo so you will get your fill of the gameplay loop and move on.

>>741667779
It's an okay action RPG. The basic combat feels pretty deliberate in its slow pace, not too flashy with attack animations, like it's trying to be "grounded." Of course it's just the demo so it probably gets more egregious with its abilities later.
BUT it feels like it would be a budget title you'd have gotten during the PSVita/PS3 era in terms of feel and presentation. I wouldn't pay $20 for it, let alone $70.

Lead dev is like 1/16th maori from NZ (and hilariously ran away from NZ to Australia because the policies he voted for ran the country so far into the ground that fucking Australia looked better economically). Imagine being a 1/16th native, gassing up how native you are, and then abandoning said 'ancestral land' to go to the next country over purely for money instead of having a spine and trying to defend what you were LARPing was your blood-and-soil.

It's a billion percent virtue signalling because that slimy fuck doesn't have a single genuine bone in his fucking body.

The only demos I played that didn't have major problems were Corsair Cove (which was kind of mid) and Shroom and Gloom

Enjoyed this, doesn't seem like it'll be a very long game but the demo was enjoyably strange.

From what I've seen of PVKK and played of Iron Nest, they play very differently, so I'm sure there's room in the market for both.

>Will buy:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4549170/Sting__Swing_Demo/
Golf exploration game, tons of hidden stuff even in the demo. My surprise hit this Nextfest.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4361710/FrogStray/
Simple platformer, would have depended on price, but actually just released for like 2€.

Cute exploration game.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4065500/Fallosophy_Demo/
Pinball platformer but not complete rage game bullshit. Also some fun mechanics shown off.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3722660/Cosmodrill/
Chill space resource gathering.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4151000/Fading_Echo_Demo/

Time trial futuristic racing.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3655180/Nowhere_to_Run_Demo/
FMV, always hard to judge from a demo, but seemed pretty solid so far.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3062420/Echo_Weaver_Demo/
Metroidvania with time rewind/retry mechanic.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3836760/Ten_Years_of_Rain_Demo/

Hyper Light Drifter Moth-Souls bullet hell.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4782580/The_Old_Flesh_of_Nuraga_Demo/
Atmospheric eldritch thing with digging mini game. Mostly depends on price, since it’s supposed to be very short.

You fly a UFO and collect cows. Simple but fun.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4504330/Utopia_Haven_Demo/
Just straight up Metroid.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4666190/Quantum_Quartz_Demo/
precision platformer.
>>
>>741696686
Most demos stay up after the fest. If the dev did remove them, you'll still have them in your library but can't launch it. Instead, you can go to the file directory and launch the .exe directly. If Steam shows up and says you can't play, then you'll need to use a generic Steam crack to get around it.
>>
>>741697542
the fact that people need to crack a free demo is fucking stupid.
demos should simply always be available. it does no harm to let people sample a game before buying it, since the worst case alternative is they try it and refund it anyway.
>>
>>741642869
useless list like always because multiplayer/ coop games dominate the list while being subpar and doa
do people really think empulse or mistfall will get high player numbers? even if they go f2p they be instantly forgotten for being shit
>>
>>741696928
You gotta relax, guy
>>
>>741697854
I get it when the demos are from early in dev, after a while they stop being representative and they just make your game look shittier
It makes no sense to take them down for stuff that's near release though
>>
>>741643503
>>Rivage
a strange situation where they rebranded the game for some reason, it used to be called Strand
https://steamdb.info/app/3391890/
>>
>>741698108
>empulse
I don't envy them for the task of needing to break into the incredibly saturated f2p shooter space. the game itself felt compenent and ran well, but also very basic like they didn't want to take many risks. It's more like a stripped down Titanfall 1 than a Titanfall 2 clone
>>
>>741700867
Yeah. I noticed that too. And the devs claim it's a "different game" now even though it's the same game with shuffled some puzzle elements around. Strand is a pretty generic name so maybe they got hit with some copyright issue but framing it as a different game is weird.
>>
>>741691009
>Trifolium
I found it boring. As in the puzzles weren't interesting.
>Dittori
Now that's the good shit. I think you got these 2 games mistaken.

>Outpour looked great for example
It's not bad, but just like the puzzles, it's pretty boring visually. It's just a catholic cathedral for the overworld and above-clouds for the levels. While Dittori has lower definition graphics, it does a lot more with color, which I prefer.
>>
>>741702695
it might be the strong perspective but I think that looks so ugly
