Can someone tell me if I'm wrong in thinking every FE game after FE10 (Radiant Dawn) is bad? They just do not feel like the same games at all. The only game that looks like it could be good is Echoes.The art style is fucking awful. Anime had this weird shift around 2010 or so where they went from hand drawn/sprites to full 3D/cgi slop. And it seems like it became "softer" and less masculine and stylized. Fire Emblem Heroes had a *particularly* horrid art style.The gameplay also just doesn't look the same to me, but I'm less sure on this one. But from my perspective every game after Radiant Dawn just isn't the same.For the record, my first game was FE7, and played FE4-FE10 - my favorite is Path of Padiance and Thracia 776 by a landslide. FE10 struck me as starting to have many of the same problems that are now apparent with the series, but I still liked it, especially due to the difficulty. The transition to 3D was not ideal but I still liked the art style and battle animations to an extent. How do the new FE games compare to these ones? Which one should I try out first?

After shadow dragon the games just don't feel like FE anymore. The gameplay can be kinda fun in some of them but they're basically a distinct series. You have to accept this and not engage with the sort of people who get overly attached to nu emblem.

It's pretty grueling, but it lets up if you're familiar with the game and how to spend your resources. New Mystery on the other hand is ball-busting from the beginning, many don't even make it out of the Prologue. Birthright and Rev aren't nearly as well-crafted as Conquest, which I think is a masterpiece, but they still have their fair share of hard to deal with chapters.
