If I remember correctly, SS2 Goku (End) and Majin Vegeta's movesets were based all on their fight with each other. And the Blast 1 techniques were pretty much everyone's gimmicks, some shared like the Afterimage and some unique like Goku (Mid)'s "Give Me Your Energy" and Turles' "Fruit from the Tree of Might". The only thing really holding characters back was that some characters had really generic supers, such as the Super Explosive Wave and Full Power Energy Wave. Luckily, it seems that Sparking Zero is trying to fix that, since it's already confirmed that SS3 Goku and SS2 Vegeta are getting some new supers. And even Super Explosive Wave is more cinematic looking now as shown by the latest trailer, so it's not as generic as it used to be. Plus, with how V-Jump keeps showing different gameplay features and character types, I'm sure Sparking Zero will have a bigger emphasis on its gameplay mechanics.
