This is behavior I consistently see sims exhibit, e.g. if a sim is watching tv in the house and another sim is getting a meal to eat the sim eating will take their meal to the living room and sit on the couch next to the sim watching tv instead of just sitting at the kitchen table to eat. But it's a preference, not a rule. They don't do it every time. When you're in a group you can command the group to do things together.

Ok so I'm probably a sims noob compared to you guys, but I just realized you can use lipstick and turn the opacity down for a 'non-lipstick look' that looks WAY better than the standard ingame no make up lips. So for example, if you have a sim with a light skin complexion, you take a pink lipstick, set the opacity to like 30 or 40%, and she now has amazing natural looking lips that match her skin color.

It's not a social game, its single player, has no story or challenges to overcome and is like a sandbox. There's hardly anything to share that other players will find themselves being able to comment on it.
