TD was making a shit more than GS when you compare their releases and then tapered off over time as is what happens with most games as players feel less need to spend as their accounts are in a good spot and general burnout making people quit. GS was making more than SfP at release though.fwiw, i think they killed gs just to see if the gameless branch formula could work and revenue had nothing to do with it because it was probably doing fine for what it was.

>>483298345covid and the economy have nothing to do with it, it's not like the gacha market makes no money now. td did well initially because the market wasn't as saturated back then so you had more people trying it out and spending on it during the honeymoon period even when the td launch sucked. same thing can still happen now but it's rarer, cip would be gakuen.what fucked gs a bit is that it was too f2p friendly. 200 rolls for a spark, no outfits to roll for, and no ranking events. speaks volumes to how terrible sfp is truly doing when it's still losing to that though despite having both ranking events and outfits to roll for. the desire for a sidem gacha is obivously there but they need to give the fags and fujos something to spend on.
