Any word on the next major patch, warbond, event, anything? Last patch and bond felt like 2/3rds of a full meal you were expecting. I really want them to tune up the slugger, spray and pray, liberator variants, diligence, crossbow, eruptor, purifier, scythe (pls just gib scope), arc thrower, railgun, airburst, and thermite.

Asking one of the code monkeys to spend a weekend implementing FSR 2.2 and DLSS 3 is far too much work.
it's especially funny considering their player count early on. AMD and Nvidia both would have assisted them as much as necessary to get it in faster.
Fatshark uses the same engine and if they can fucking get proper upscaling into Darktide, there is no doubt that Arrowhead can do it too.

The engine is discontinued and was made by Autodesk, a company suited for engineering software and not video games.
It's not something they can fix easily by just asking for NVIDIA support. The fixes to Helldivers will happen over the following decade.

Check the previous thread. There's couple HUGE improvements like disabling every particle casting shadows (what in the actual fuck?!).
As for dx11, it used to be the better-running option, but nowadays its a cointoss whether dx11 or dx12 works better for (your specific setup). Just usw dx12 if the other one crashes you. Also dont play in fullscreen, game hates that, use borderless windowed.

I straight up survive a full volley of gunship rocket because one fuckee was able to sneak around me as I kill 3 others. I was at like 10% hp but I was wearing fortified light armor + shield backpack. I just stim then shoot its ass down as well. It's also nice that you can stim while inside it then keep firing. With the stim booster, the extra tankiness is super nice

Yea, I have cleared a whole wave of drop ships in diff 9 by myself with a few times thank to it. It just wreck everything bot can throw at you except for tank, but tank is fairly easy to deal with. The only hard part is getting a good position + timing

eh, I only think that's the case if you're forced to use it on a bile titan. The suit is for wading into a huge nest and closing bugholes while stomping on all the small fry. Drop it down at the start of a mission, take out a few camps and a shrieker nest, get the first objective done, then run out of ammo and fall back on your normal weapons for the 5 minutes until the suit is off cooldown again. It's pretty great.

Only really sucks when you lose it almost immediately because 3 chargers spawn on you. Not a lot to do in those situations

No. The decay on liberations is based on a -%/hr that is now typically only associated with that individual planet. Zagon Prime is sitting at -3%/hr so you'd need more than 30% of the current playerbase to actually go positive on liberating that planet. Most other planets that are going negative aren't reaching that decay threshold which are ranging from something like 10% to 25%+ of the playerbase required to liberate them. Looking at this graph, it's basically absolutely pointless to even consider playing on anything other than Ingmar or Phact Bay if you think your galatic war contributions are going to make a positive effect on any planet. And Phact Bay is probably still a loss because it needs another 3k+ players to actually succeed that defense campaign, and nobody on the bugfront is going to budge to see that succeed.

They need to completely get rid of recoil on the laser pistol and cannon. It's not really noticeable on the scythe considering the non-magnifying sight, but the scythe needs a better scope anyways. I tried using the dagger for an operation just now and while it's kind of fun against basic troopers, you overheat it so fast and if you try to precision aim it in first person, you'll notice that it has awful recoil. It already has 150 DPS less than the other laser weapons, it shouldn't have half of the uptime like it currently does. It feels like a really limited redeemer withoutnthebcrazy DPS or uptime. Fun with the ballistics shield, though.

Yes but it does that once every 189 seconds by with the upgrade. Which is an insane amount of time for a singular shot. You can use the 500kg bomb twice and then have it back up in 120 seconds.
This means that over the course of a 40 minute mission. If you are using 500kgs off cooldown (+5 seconds inbetween 500kg uses) you can use the 500kg around 38 times vs the orbital railcannon's 12

Even if we're taking into account that you arent going to use them instantly off cooldown, since they are both utilised for the same threats you can treat the circumstances the same for both.

It's even worse than that since orbital railcannon can only ever strike one opponent. With OPS/500kg/airstrike you can potentially strike multiple high value targets. Such as multiple hulks that dropped in from the same dropship, or baiting a group of chargers into a singular blast. This is easier accomplished with the aid of stun grenades. On top of that those strikes pull double duty in that they can be used to destroy enemy infrastructure and even hardened structures.

The ONLY advantage that railcannon has is that it has aim assist. It's training wheels for noobs.

Here's the thing.. the thermite's damage isn't bad. It's actually quite good at 1100 total damage. The problem is that it does not damage enemy limbs, components, or parts. It only does damage to the enemies main HP pool. Meaning even if you stick it directly on a chargers 600 hp head it's still gong to have to take two grenades because chargers have 1500 main HP. Thermites DoT effect also doesn't stack which only makes it even worse. And then sometimes thermites just don't seem to fucking apply their damage, especially against chargers where it can take anywhere from 2 to 6 fucking grenades to kill one. I don't mean sometimes the grenade just bounces off, I mean it will stick to them but it's like the DoT isn't actually doing anything to them.

Thermites aren't bad because their numbers are bad, they are bad because their mechanics are bad, and they are not functioning correctly.

There's not very much content in this game and I want more so badly, I just want to sink thousands of hours into it but there just isn't enough progression to warrant it.

I wish they'd allow you to assign a 5% increase to a random stat of your choosing every 10 levels, like sprint speed, stamina regen, explosive resist, ballistics resist, recoil, weapon handling, and so on, up to a cap of like 5 improvements. You could spend requisition slips to reset your build and reassign your points, so a level 150 would have 15 points to spend. That way, you could pick 3 things to be 25% better at when you're max level. If they uncapped your level so you could feasibly get everything you can upgrade up to that 25% max, I'd play this game literally forever.

Youre mentally retarded and wrong.
Remove the DoT for now, just on its pellets, it takes out hunters and shriekers in two shots up close. It takes out warriors in two shots to the head and takes out brood commanders easily. Stalkers are a little more RNG dependent based on how much they block with their claws but it can burst them down if you turn and hit them in the head. That on its own is average, a little bad compared to other shotguns.
What makes it fundamentally broken. Is that from over 100 metres away, you can one shot:

>Scavengers
in a single hit pellet. You take out an entire patrol from a joke distance in under half a mag with nearly no aim or skill required. Shrieker patrols just fall instantly. It is a complete joke. You have a ton of ammo and each shot fires a ton of pellets and a single one is a death sentence to the above enemies.
The DoT can also take out warriors in a short amount of time (maybe 2-3 activations of DoT) and deal significant damage to hive guard and a bit to commanders. Still from 100+ m away with ZERO SKILL.

It is the only fucking primary where you can look across a landscape. See a breach happening and moving towards you, and just fire a couple mags in the general direction and rack up dozens of kills without an issue. Patrol coming by? Oh you shot in their general direction and they died so fast they couldnt even call a breach.
To balance the breaker incen, they need to reduce the effectiveness of the DoT from outside a certain range or require more pellets to hit to activate it (which would do the same thing while punishing bad aim more). The incen dealing with close to mid range threats very well is fine. But it just becomes completely broken when used at long range and abusing it.

I think amending the DoT to be weaker over distance was a nice inbetween that allowed you to still chip away at enemies but just not to such an extreme, while still being easy to use close-mid range. Break your conditioning and use the gun from medium to long range, and learn you need to spam more pellets at enemies you need dead ASAP because it does less damage than the breaker/punisher.
The breaker incen is average in scenarios where you are in very close range engagements and cant rely on the DoT to kill in time. Instead you need to spam fire or evade them. If you catch this happening to you more than a few times a match then youre using the gun wrong.
With the incen you learn that despite it being a shotgun it shines mid to long range where the DoT makes it absurdly efficient and allows it to function at any range you can see and even then, its still going to be able to protect you if you do fuck up and enemies get close as I described.

Trying to say the gun is bad because its only average in one area while being absurdly strong is so fucking stupid.

The dmg is a bit less, but It adds a burning DoT, the burning DoTs don't stack, it's best used against a mass of bugs from a distance, so they burn up while running at you. You'll also notice on a closer rewatch that I am never given a chance to dive or even stim. The first hit knocked me down, as soon as my character finished his recovery animation, I was hit again. Yes. Rockets do 75 ballistic with only 60 explosive. It gets more complicated because the explosive resistance only applies to explosives while raw armor values protect you from both damage types. Fat fuck armor is actually the best armor for bots if you care about protection. Extra padding med armor if you don't want to run heavy armor. Another fun fact, light armor doesn't have less armor so you take more damage like how other games do it. for some fucking reason, AH made you take boosted damage if you are wearing light. So that light armor with extra padding that leaves it at 100 armor still takes more damage than med armor that has 100 armor value because ALL light armors have an inherent debuff that boosts all receiving damage by a certain amount. Actual dogshit balancing

It doesnt matter. The normalfag zeitgeist is fully aware of how good it is, and AH balances primarily on play and win rates. The CEO also uses it as his bug gun. I would not be surprised if the Breaker Incen is picked 75% of the time on the bug front if the players are over level 25 and have the steeled vets warbond.
The main issue with the Incen being in this state is that its a case of a gun being simply just a bit too good while also making not much sense in terms of its concept (fire shotgun that is actually a light incendiary flak cannon if you aim at long distances and spam fire). if you reduced DoT if the pellets hit a certain distance or over away I think you keep a very fun, solid gun that isnt in risk of being snapped in half all the time, unlike now where im just waiting for it to get fucked.

The janky ass 'interacting' with other players with this game's high level of desync just doesn't work at all, if you've ever tried to play supply backpack and actually resupply teammates you'll know the pain

Bots were more fun on release than they are now. They used to be very challenging with instant kill rockets that seriously made you think about positioning, fields of fire, etc.

Now the rockets ragdoll you into a devastator laser stunlock and they drop 50 berserkers on you during objectives to make you 'tactically manuever more'. They just aren't fun to fight like they used to be, and if you disagree you're a launch month bugshitter

Yea. Bug is like a shooting gallery. Sometimes you don't even have to shoot and let your turrets + stratagem do all the work.
Bots actually do something and every units have to be accounted for instead of just being ignored like half of the bug's enemy roster

The platoon system makes references to getting access to certain strats if you're deployed on the same planet your station is orbiting. We don't know yet if you'll be able to actually see it or go to it, just that the carpet bomb and nuke are linked to it.
