Why is Miyazaki so obsessed with moon power and uber femininity? Aren’t moons supposed to be lesser to space according to Ymir? In scale and significance? It is a closer body, that’s it. So why do his spells suck in comparison?Ymir is also stated to have been the two sisters’ (Rennala and Rellana) instructor of magic, but despite this he is just a two part pushover like Gideon.Going back to the main game, the moon is apparently more significant, or special, than a deep space nebula (Comet Azur), how odd. I can only truly justify the divide by assuming the moon is some intelligent entity, while nebulas are mere birthplaces for the stars; one spell is bigger and more potent (it takes up three spells), the other is a sharper (70~ intelligence), or more so exclusive, or elusive discovery, as though the moon were aware of who sees them.We should have gotten another primeval or deep space spell from Metyr, not some universalist catalyst, which Gideon could have dropped in the main game, sigh. This DLC was magnificent. The areas were beautiful, despite being a bit barren. My biggest disappointment was probably the Abyssal Woods, it is such a massive area yet there is so little in it, there aren't even any side dungeons. I'm also surprised by how many remembrance bosses there are, although I really disliked the Scadutree Avatar fight. On a side note I'd have to say my favourite side boss dungeon would be the Death Knights, absolutely badass enemies.
