Money stops being important when the talent pool is the limiting factor. The scalable parts of the team were all in asset production which wasn't where they were failing to deliver.

Lands were never actually "slow" and a bunch of lands are better than actual monsters so you want to see them, they aren't garnets.Commander has basically the entire cardpool available minus whatever is actually banned, so of course you could FTK. Same thing could happen in regular Unlimited Yugioh (except Tears are still better than FTK decks), and the Deck Master Yugioh format is basically decided the moment you pick who your deck master is, you just have to hope your deckmaster autowins against the opponent's deck so you just pick stuff like Last Warrior or Dark Simorgh and hope your opponent didn't bring the right deck.
