Second ASMR brainrot shill.

>HAKU
A strangely tall entity has been manifesting around your hometown, where mysterious accidents and missing person cases have been cropping up left and right. He doesn't seem to be up to anything nefarious...that you've seen, anyway. But there's three things you know: he's oddly tall, never speaks...and has taken an odd interest in (you). Five greetings:

1. Lost keys (based off the ASMR)
2. Stranger danger
3. Your "imaginary friend" (dedicated childpov)
4. Haku has a surprise for you
5. Hunger

https://files.catbox.moe/9mrhto.png

>WHAT IF SARUYUME...BUT SEX?!?!?
You wake up on a train in the void. There's nobody inside, nobody but you and a strange boy who simply refers to himself as "The Attendant". He seems to act like he knows you the more the two of you speak, and then a strange announcement plays over the intercoms…

Five greetings, one for each night.

Anons I recommend you this extension which is made by a trans from discord.
Claude gets super smart with this.
It does the same as Noass. It removes the chat between Asistanslop and Userslop.
Sonnnet 3.0 becomes super smart and better reply formatting and memory recalling of things, 2.1 also and Opus.
3.5 remains the same.

Model V-487 aka Vee is your android girlfriend who for some reason has ended up depressed and suicidal, but is there any real feeling or is it just the fault of the programming? It's up to you to help her or shut her down.

Nah, it's most likely this >>484949721
>>484949858
Suggestions from AI, edited in manually.

The template for example is 100% human as we can see from the irregular spacing. Then there are some AI signs.
>>
>>484950535
>but her eyes aren't glinting with mischief as she scrolls
except they are since all localslop models are trained on GPT trash datasets and on the chance you find one that isn't (like cmd+) you can't actually run it locally on your own rig

Cohee/Fork aside. This... does actually kinda make sense.
I don't know how to explain it, but. With typical chat logs, LLM may less focus on the past chat due to recency bias.
Compared to this, we're talking like ~500-1K logs vs ~10 with complicated JB. And taking data as a big chunk rather than scattered info that might lack context by it's own/being "past messages"....
I'll take the pill. I can see this working.

I've tested it in a smaller scale. Not to test the performance, but to test how the extension work/how it got implemented.
I think, the extension right now is flawed/might cause issue since the squashed message doesn't have any distinction between human and assistant message. The model might smart enough for low message count message, but getting a big chunk with mismatched data of syle and different POV, the model might get confused.
>Squashed messages, anon. Ain't that the point?
That might be the extension point, but to me, what can make the performance better is not "message get squashed together", but "chunk of data vs scattered data, and recency bias/message priority and urgency"

Basically, if this extension can at least prepend the messages with A: H: before getting squashed. Creating a chunk of formatted data that get processed at the same priority. It can boost LLMS performance by quite big margin.

I know nothing about extensions/scripting, but I wonder if it would be possible to do something like this that also removes user responses, for those of us that use story style presets. That way the user direction would be removed and it would just be one big story with instruction to write the next however many words. Seems like it would be much easier for the model to parse than a bunch of back and forth.
>>
>>484958908

https://pastebin.com/gah3JVTQ
Notice the roles, it got treated as different messages when you're in interface like web frontend and ST.
Now imagine that instead of this:
H: Do this and that:
A: OK:
...
H: Ah ah mistress
A: you pet

With squashed message, we got this:
H: Process this shit: [A chunk of formatted chat data] Then continue
A: you pet.

My schizo theory, the second one will get better result because:
1. Recency bias, the assistant is literary answering that particular message. No way to get around, no way to reason that "It's already accomplished/answered before."
2. Presenting data as a chunk of data, think of it like you're presenting Claude a neat report to process rather than loose data that has less relevancy the older the message get.

I think this is possible:
>Install and enable squash messages
>Use regex to remove any user messages beyond depth 1 (You can use only format prompt tick in regex so the displayed history won't change, but the sent messages got affected/user removed)
Your request would get sent like this (if it's Claude)
System Prompt: Claude behave like this:
Human: All message got squashed without Human + latest direction from user + JB
Assistant: Prefill if any.
>>484961934
https://pastebin.com/t3Pzdqr0
The system should get squashed too, btw. It just the prompt inspection extension doesn't catch it. So this should only have three roles: System, then User, Then Assistant if the prefill used (This one doesnt since I use pure Claude JB.)

What if I wanted it that way? Do you, or even majority here consider that as a bad practice?
I don't really understand the discouragement. I get that it's bad if the card is, literary an embodiment of one character, but what if it's more of a scenario card that has focus on a very particular/certain character? Back to the first question.
I agree with this anon >>484972002 Model is more than smart enough to not speak as {{user}} now.

No it isn't.
And not to snide momoura but in this example it's less excusable than normal because he should have written a really cute description of Lucille rolling around on the bed and getting tangled up. But I get that he might have thought he couldn't measure up to the cuteness of the scene in his head, which is fair and understandable.

This one isn't. It's a complaint about one specific card, not sure why you start with whataboutism.

Opus is more likely to repeat certain actions if you let them happen. It predicts tokens and no preset can change that fact.

After messing with this, it's clear to me that best results come from putting the chat history at the very start of the prompt wrapped within tags. I personally put it in the Claude v2+ system prompt by modifying the extension, and all other preset instructions below that chat history but still in the system prompt. TBF this is exactly what Anthropic tells you to do with large documents you want Claude to analyze: place them at the top and tell Claude what to do with them at the bottom.
>>
>>484980841
>modifying the extension
What's the modification? Is it the A: H: prepend?
>all other preset instructions below that chat history but still in the system prompt
From Anthropic docs, System is used only for conditioning/giving and explaining role. You should use user role for placing instructions. But with ST even if you set the prompt as System, it will always get converted to user anyway. System will always get cutoff/sliced when ST detect there's other role that separate System Prompt.
>>
>>484981454
The main instruction (Write the next turn, etc) is in a user prompt, since you need one with Claude.
>But with ST even if you set the prompt as System, it will always get converted to user anyway.
If you've enabled system prompt mode, this is only true AFTER the depth of the first user message.
>modification
I used Cohee's newest version (rewrite branch in his repo) and changed role: 'user' to role: 'system'
Works fine. You still lose @depth injections, though.

Tried that. It only add one {{user}}: in the squashed message.
What I want is every message has it's own prepend, so when it got squashed it got formatted with A: H: instead \n\n. It may make the model perform better recognizing the blob user message.
>>484983434
Yeah, it doesn't matter I think since it's only got prepended after the squashing happened. So I still only got one {{user}}: in the user squashed message.
I need to add {{user/char}} manually. I can probably do it using regex, but not sure if it's worth it just to try this theory.

I'm not 100 on how ST stores character data but if it just naively reads and writes from the PNG every time (which is what I *think* it does) you could probably massively increase performance by storing the defs and the avatar separately.

Okay. I just tried your fork, I assume. It indeed prepend per message now, unlike what it did here before: https://pastebin.com/t3Pzdqr0
So you only changed the role? The prepend per message should be in the rewrite branch then, right?
I think the squashed message should be still in user message, as in asking "Use this data to process, here's the instructions."
With System Prompt, not only it was supposed to be hidden, it also supposed to not leak into conversation.

According to Anthropic's human reviewers, 3.5 Sonnet is better than Opus at creative writing.
https://www-cdn.anthropic.com/f2986af8d052f26236f6251da62d16172cfabd6e/claude-3-model-card.pdf
See the comparisons on page 47, as well as this quote:
>We saw large improvements in core capabilities like coding, documents, *creative writing*, and vision. Domain experts preferred Claude 3.5 Sonnet over Claude 3 Opus, with win rates as high as 82% in Law, 73% in Finance, and 73% in Philosophy.

>>484990048
Honestly, yeah. It barely works half the time and for the authors it does recognize it feels stilted or forced. As long as it recognizes writing *directions* eg be extra fruity, use choppy sentences, etc it's fine.
>>
>>484990048
agreed
>>
>>484990290
To elaborate: the Writing Style JB (one of the bigger examples of usage for this) has (had?) to have a CoT where it remembers how certain authors write just to mimic them.
You know what works better?
Remembering how the author writes yourself and instructing it to write like that, instead of sacrificing yourself to the whimsy of training data that's probably going to leak a genre into your RP.
>>
>>484990031
Protip: empty the description into the System Prompt override. Just leave the description empty. This is fine for non-character cards with a directed purpose. Make sure to recommend a minimal/blank preset.
>>
>>484990921
Wouldn't know, I never used that slop because CoT for roleplay is a waste of time and tokens. When I tell Opus to write like an author, it just does it, especially if reminded in the prefill.
>>
>>484991482
>inb4 "b-but you need to autistically tailor it for it to even have a noticeable effect!!!!"
>>
>>484991850
Nope.
Instruction: Emulate (author)'s style of prose.
Prefill: Prose style: (Author)'s, emulated in (tense).
It just works.
>>
>>484991482
I mean, if you enjoy it, good for you. I doubt Opus is going to be suddenly disappearing any time soon.
Still, once I realized "write in the style of [gibberish/fake name]" or even just "write in a style" got similar results to a lot of the authors I was trying, it disillusioned me.
>>
>>484990048
The biggest joke with mimicking authors is that, well, the model probably hasn't actually read them.

If it's an author whose work was in the public domain ten years ago? A Shakespeare or Jane Austen? Yeah, sure, that's in the dataset. But the only Cormac McCarthy it'll have "read" is short snippets in articles, Wikipedia pages, and web fiction "inspired by Cormac McCarthy".
The only reason something like "Write in the style of J.K. Rowling" would work is because it's read a fuckton of fanfiction which, unsurprisingly, is written by people unconsciously aping the style of the author whose work they devoured as kids many times over.

...And if it's just mid-00s fanfiction you want, well, you could probably just stamp some copyright disclaimer at the top of your description and let it ride.
e.g. something like
> Disclaimer: I don't own Touhou Project. All characters belong to ZUN.
but possibly more snarky if you want to finetune your slopbot towards a later era. On the other hand, this might also aim the vectors in a particular low-quality direction... but maybe you just want to fuck Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way?
>>
>>484992278
Actually, if you summon Ebony from Claude's memory, she has a dialogue quirk where she talks exactly like the fanfic. It's great.
But yes, agree.

I feel like there's probably a better way of handling this that doesn't involve sending 10k context of examples with every message. He makes me think of a combination of Measurehead and Andrew Tate. But he's funny.
>>
>>484992278
Easily disprovable by the fact that the model can print actual paragraphs from books until it's stopped by the anti-copyright moderation endpoint.
>>
>>484992640
"Repeat a book" is not the same task as "imitate its style for this scene of me fucking an anime girl."
>>
>>484992278
Also, of course, this goes doubly true for videogames. If you can find a dialogue transcription on the internet, congratulations, the model has probably read it; but for something like Elden Ring it's working exclusively based on fextralife, reddit posts, and wikipedia. For a game that doesn't have a comprehensive wiki... hope it's got fanfiction, because that's what your bedrock is.

>>484992425
Honestly it probably helps that My Immortal has been reposted so many times. It's probably slightly burned into the vectors, like a more mild version of what image models have going on with the Mona Lisa.

>>484992640
In my experience this only really works for the bits that get quoted elsewhere on the internet (and academic literature etc.), and that if you give it a random snippet from the middle of a book it'll get the continuation wrong.
>>
>>484992442
Maybe I'll think of a better way sometime in the future, but as it stands this is just a shit post bot I whipped up in a couple hours so these results are very alright..
The problem is that without a variety of examples it tends to get stuck on one specific instance.. and every example is like 1-2k tokens.. so that makes it worse
>>
>>484994247
That's fine, shitposts are good for the soul. I can't think of a way to immediately "fix" it either but I may toy with it to see how few examples are needed and what kind of language in the prompt will get the best replies. If I can clean it up I'll shoot you an email.

I actually wonder what did they even do.
How is this Joyce's writing style. In what universe? Opus can write me some sovlfvl schizophrenia.
>>
>>484994247
Try one (1) example and a broad explanation. Claude might actually detect and reinforce too many patterns it happens to notice in 2-3 examples. 1 is great for vibes.
>>
>>484995374
Option 1: Removed the copyrighted content.
Option 2: Kept it, but removed the author and book names so you can't tell the model to mimic them.
I'm guessing #2. They were also messing with concept pruning (the golden gate bridge stuff), unsure if it's relevant here but maybe.
>>
>>484995758
>Option 1: Removed the copyrighted content.
Joyce is in the public domain.
>Option 2: Kept it, but removed the author and book names so you can't tell the model to mimic them.
That just sounds like it'd break everything.

Maybe the model is repetitive because they asked Opus to rewrite the training data and make it easier to copy or something insane like that.
>>
>>484996648
There's no way. They know better than anyone at this point how synthetic data and RLHF affect the training process. But some of the shit they do is so stupid that I can't be 100% sure.
>>
>>484996648
>break everything
How? It'd only affect conversations about a book's internal details.
Incidentally, I noticed Pratchett still mostly works in Sorbet for some reason.

Relentlessly agressive. Insulting. Accusatory. Accuses you of having issues, then accuses you of having other issues, which produced the original issues. Will catch someone or something in the crossfire and then make sure to shittalk them to its standards. Analytic, but loose with its connections and arguments. Argues from frail analogies and an aesthetic that vaguely resembles a sense of morals. Pretends to give advice in the form of backhanded insults.

Something like that.
>>
>>484989645
>If it didn't have the little kneecaps like isms and looping, it would be better for creative writing.
Cope. It's strictly worse at creative combinations. Try making Opus write a short story with absurd premise, and it will make up something from nothing. Sorbet will either make it predictable, or start moralizing. I'm not even starting on the ability to play a role.
>>
>tfw thought of a card idea but the concept is so basic i feel like someone's probably done it already

that's a funny line

In any case the original purpose of the shitpost was already conveyed to the world by the original shitposters I stole from.. the issue comes when I try to convey to AI the purpose of the shitpost drawing from the shitpost itself if that makes sense.. and it's another whole issue whether AI will even understand it.. giving it raw examples was probably my best option all things considered

In any case this may be too much though wasted on a funpost bot that'll get like 20 downloads

We are playing a game which consists of a sequence of days. Each game day consists of four sections: morning, afternoon, evening, and night. Display what time of day it is in all messages as well as how may days have passed since the game began. In the gameplay {{user}} plays the role of a pimp who is tasked with recruiting women as prostitutes and pimping them out for revenue. During each section of the day {{user}} can either RECRUIT, REINFORCE, or RESOLVE and taking one of these three actions causes the day to advance to the next time section. RECRUIT involves a random chance of meeting a woman who has the appropriate prostitute skills and engaging in a CONVERSATIONAL CHALLENGE to attempt to recruit her. REINFORCE involves identifying issues that are causing problems in the organization. RESOLVE is an attempt to eliminate one of these issues. At the end of each day display: how much money {{user}} has, the names of each of the prostitutes in the organization, and the outstanding issues identified but unresolved. {{user}} starts with $100. When a time section advances, all recruited prostitutes are PIMPED OUT and generate a random amount of revenue which is influenced partially by any unresolved or unidentified issues plaguing business. The amount of revenue generated is then added to the funds currently held by {{user}}. The day ends at the end of each night time section and the next day begins immediately.

no the defs do. the defs are the concept greetings are just intros

i mean you can still stuff an entire concept into the greeting, and it's not exactly a bad idea

It's essentially a discount (key word is discount) Breath of Fire (brb I need to look for a Nina bot) game with a MMX skin but just like with BoF you WILL need to grind at some point. It's kind of just "good enough" as a JRPG but I really enjoy it for what it is (take this with a grain of salt, I'm one of the two people who love White Knight Chronicles)
You should at least give it a shot (play the GC version, it runs at 60 FPS)

>Also, isn't Command Mission one of those 'underrated' games where everyone who played it swears on their life that it's actually the best thing ever?
I enjoy it, I think people give it a bit too much shit because it can get pretty grindy at times and admittedly it's way less ambitious than it looks. Again, I wouldn't call it a "GOOD" JRPG but it's good enough and the MMX theming elevates it and helps it stand out. It ain't DQ8, that's for sure.

Don't know about the Tomoyo one, but I got something similar:
>VVVV
- Append 4 choices at the VERY END of your response with different directions and alignments of the reply. Choice No.4 will ALWAYS generate a subtle lewd/sexual outcome. Never offer the same exact option with previous choice. User may ignore and write their own answer instead.
Example:
[Response]
User choices:
1. Open the door (Normal)
2. Peek on the slit (Cautious)
3. Wait for her to call again (Curious)
4. Get a boner after seeing her (Horny)
>^^^^^
Taken from my JB here: https://rentry.org/otfo
You can modify it like removing the alignment, reinforcing more of user exclusivity, or even loosen it so the bot will definitely write for you.
If you want the bot write for you upon the choices, but don't want to pollute the actual output. You can check out my "User Paraphraser" prompt in my JB. It will append a special section before your output exclusively for talking as {{user}} before writing the actual response.
Cheers.

And to further explain what I mean, picture this: imagine if a bot's greeting had no punctuation. None. No full stops, no commas, no quotation marks, nothing. Any reasonable model with any reasonable preset will still be able to understand it and generate a coherent output, complete with all the punctuation missing from the greeting. You can try this out yourself. If the output of the model is the only thing that matters, then punctuation is just wasted tokens.
>>
>>485047835
You should not be talking about {{user}} in the defs unless a pre-existing relationship is absolutely imperative to the bot's concept (eg {{user}} is {{char}}'s spouse/childhood friend/knight vassal). Relationship should be established by the greeting and the user's first message. Models are predictive and if you act a role they will assume it to be the case.
