Chapter 9 gives the Critical Damage Up trait (on Phantom Egg) which is what will give you a big boost in power if you can consistently crit (you probably don't have Bolt Resna though). I brute force past the 50% singe target debuff with Suelle and Resna so it's tough to say if you'll be able to AoE burst with Lent and survive the rest of the fight if you don't have enough characters.

I'm sure some people don't know it, so, I'll say it:Unlike other games developed by Gust (Blue Reflection for example), the level cap in Atelier Firis is not 50, maybe the maximum level possible is 99 or 100, but of course, getting to the maximum level in Atelier Firis takes a long time compared to other RPGs (more than 100 hours, that's for sure).So, yeah, it's not a surprise but the maximum level is not 50 in Atelier Firis...I still haven't been able to defeat Hyule...

>>485986357Yeah you can occasionally get gems, or cookies or other stuff. The mechanics aren't known but there must be a minimum amount of time taken otherwise you would just pick up few seconds/minutes to try to hit the event. I try to let my timer hit a full 24 hours before I pick up.

Going through my first playthrough of Lydie and Suelle, on chapter 6 currently. Is it just me or is this the hardest Atelier (barring time limit stuff). In no other game have I really struggled with combat, in most of them I even bumped it up to hard for better drops. But in L&S it feels like I can only do 3 or 4 fights before needing to retreat back to the atelier or risk a wipe.
My last minute push in Roman tournament did not succeed.19.5 million, not enough for top 100.

>>486007259If playing on Hard and up then yes the game is nice and punishing. Unlike other titles Lydie and Suelle makes normal combat worthless and relies almost exclusively on item use. If you really want to cheese it you should be able to craft a bomb with One Hit Kill much earlier than other titles. Otherwise just rely on Battle Mix or doing the Firis or Alt combo cheese.

Gems in hand I continued hearing the cheers and knew I needed to roll paid immediately instead of the free ones so I did just that. This was the result of it.

I feel like I just don't understand how to play the game properly. I can't get deeper than floor 20F on the regular elemental tower, and I scored 2000th~ in Roman's challenge. Is there any resources laying around that's good for character builds / what you should be aiming for? Getting SS Rank on even some of the latest chapter's material quests feels impossible.
