Expac introduced Judith, making babbys first Highlander into an annoying stallfest that everyone wanted to play for some reason.(barely anyone touched cutthroat before expac) While I didn't enjoy the lame stall decks, I enjoyed Azvaldt.

Wrath, Magachiyo, and exploding fairies(after expac) were a lot of fun too. Even some of the niche decks like Uneriel Haven were really cool. There was also the one Forest deck before expac that used Cosmos Fang, and Wimael. Wimael was so powerful, they had to nerf the animation when he hits the board lol.

Throwback rota reminded me that board did matter at one point. UC had its own problems, but this was a refreshing experience. It feels good being able to drop a simple ward, and it actually matter.

Unfortunately for anyone checking out the game now there's absolutely zero help for players so you're coming in at the worst possible time. Honestly just play through the story (you get to use various pre-made decks for free) and wait for the game's sequel to come out next year.
