i've noticed that in a roleplay, claude will perfectly adhere to a side character's appearance as described in their lorebook while completely inaccurately portraying his/her personality. what causes this? is it the way i write the character's personality traits, is it a result of context pollution, etc.? if i scold claude for portraying their personality inaccurately, he'll portray their personality correctly, but he doesn't do this automatically

Currently experimenting with the idea of a "chapter" based summary, having the AI determine when's a good time for a chapter break in its self-rating section, then triggering a set prompt (that also includes listing any coherence/continuity issues) asking it to write a chapter summary and that we're 1/xx chapters in. Seems to produce pretty follow-able summaries for it and thankfully doesn't trigger too frequently
