Maybe i should just start using drive crutch like everyone else does. You can't just not use the system mechanics in this game. Capcom has made it so that you literally MUST play with drive crutch. You have to use it to confirm (with crutch insurance) because one hit confirms are bad in this game. You leave like 20% damage on the table. You have to drive crutch in neutral because the other guy isn't going to have your compunctions. If you show that you want to play footsies or a general defensive paystyle, the he's just going to say no to neutral and because the gambling style is so incredibly strong in this game, you're never going to be able to persuade him not to. I just don't want to. I don't want to use the crutch. I don't feel like I'm actually improving at street fighter when I'm drive rushing because it takes literally no skill and i want to win with skill. I really just don't like this game, bros. I wish Capcom would make it more of a street fighter game

It's crazy how much more exciting even 3S is compared to SF6. The crowd's energy when that fucking Hugo player parried every hit of Ken's air tatsu and then jumped over the reversal super... it's crazy because that takes actual skill. It's exciting to watch people who have genuine skill and get to show it. When Capcom just gives the effects of skill to everyone, thinking it'll create the same excitement by virtue of the action on the screen itself, they show they completely misunderstand what's actually going on. It's the action on the screen and the knowledge that the player who did it has crazy talent. There's far fewer opportunities for skill to show through on SF6, where everything is so automated. How did Capcom fuck up this bad?

But every time I land a command grab, they just jump and the animation stops and I'm left open to get combo'd.
