>>489530798Oh you can make them playable outside of just stun but not everyone's going to be a fan of how you do it. What you really need to do is just lean into the fact their backrow and monsters care more about stats then the actual names and run a bunch of 1500 def spellcasters from other archetypes. They work almost as well as the Charmers do with most their backrow and their awakening of the possessed monsters are generically good and it actually gives you some decent plays, you can even make a combo charmer deck out of it.Only issue is that you'll end up not playing a ton of Charmers which some are not a fan of.

The problem with Charmers is that they're a bunch of unrelated support/anti support for a type poorly tied together and the only good cards are the Familiars with generic special summon effects or have an actual decent effect for their deck summon so they aren't just a -1 for piercing damage like their Charmer counterparts
